I did my shopping for the first time at the Farnham store on 20/08/25. I have just received a £90 penalty charge notice from Parkingeye to my great surprise...My stay in the car park was only 47 minutes. Apparently, I was supposed to enter my vehicle registration into 'the terminal'. It was not clear and obvious what - or where - 'the terminal' was. It was also not signposted well. It is a very confusing system and it is clearly designed to trap your regular customers on purpose - something that made my shopping experience very unpleasant. I have been a regular Lidl customer for years, shopping 1 - 2x/week and none of the other Lidl shops I have ever used had such system. Therefore, I assumed that your parking rules are uniform for all your stores, and that I was allowed to park for 90 minutes without any extra and confusing steps.

Visited Lidl Farnham for the first time on 09/07/2025 & have today received a parking charge even though I stayed for 48 mins only. It seems every Lidl you go there is a different parking rule set to trap the customers. Apparently I had to register my car details via their terminal. I had to wait outside in my car with my dog while my wife went in for shopping. As I didn't go in I wasnt aware of the terminal or see it on the parking notice. I generally enjoy visiting Lidl but their association with Parking eye ? is definitely putting customers like me off.

Has always good value. My wife did the shopping and noticed on the way out about parking, and having to put your car registration number in a machine, to avoid getting a fine. I would have not see the sign, having not come across it before.

I bought myself a matured rump steak as a treat as a treat. It has totally ruined my evening.
What looked like a beautiful cut of meat my sharpest steak knives couldn't deal with. It was fatty, gristly, totally inedible. I'm very ?

Was excited to visit a Lidl store for the first time having just started working in Farnham, and sad when I received a £90 parking fine after my first visit. I definitely won?t be visiting the store again

Not the biggest Lidl & sometimes the parking can be busy & you have to remember to validate your parking.with your receipt.
But (unlike Guildford) they don't keep rearranging the store, so you can get round the store efficiently.
Staff have always been polite & helpful on the odd occasion I needed to ask about stuff.

Large and well laid out. Good value for money as always and loved middle of lidl got a great fleece. Always recommend it
