Update: went to Alton today, measured again and was told he’s not the size I was told in Farnham and their advice was very wrong. Lovely bloke measured carefully, discussed different shoes, felt his feet, watched him walk and we left with a pair of shoes the Farnham lady said were only in stock up north.
