I went to the doctors the other day and she asked me whether I ate breakfast. I told her, 'not normally, but on the way here I had some mints'. She looked at me strangely and said, 'why would you eat mince before breakfast?'. She thought I meant mince, not mints. Oh, how we laughed before she prescribed me the antipsychotics I had begged her for. Then I left.

First time at this garage today very early in the morning and was greeted really nicely by the person stocking the shelves, then when being served the person behind the counter had a great aura about him really friendly and chatty this early in the morning that is a rarity. If it was my local I would be in there everyday as customer service was great.

Please Please PLEASE can petrol stations like this have a till for fuel ONLY or better still install ?pay at pump? technology. The last couple of time I?ve stopped here there have been queues to pay and I?ve been stuck behind people: ordering a coffee, buying their daily groceries or choosing their lottery numbers. It?s great you can get all that here, but many people just want to fill up, pay and get back on the road. A separate till for ?fuel only? payments at busy times would be a really good idea.

A very good place to stop for a break.
Fuel prices are about average for the area.
There's an M&S shop, Wild Bean Café, along with the usual petrol station produce.
There are clean, modern, well maintained customer toilets.
They have a decent car wash.
Best of all is a healthy amount of free car and van parking, including an overflow car park to the rear where you can access a large grassed picnic area.
This is certainly one of the better A road services.
