Walked into the Farnham branch earlier today and was given dirty looks by both staff and customers. It seems they don?t like people who don?t fit the aesthetic standard. Left almost as soon as I walked in despite needing a new pair of shorts as my last pair were ruined during the London Marathon. Will be taking my money somewhere else ?

Came in with my partner to look for some running shoes. Upon arrival, staff stared us down as if we weren?t supposed to be there. Same goes for the customers inside. Won?t be returning as the place clearly isn?t for new starters. Didn?t feel welcome at all. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Visited Alton Sports today and was served by Carlos. He was amazing! So knowledgable, patient, kind and took his time to help me find the perfect trainers. Really appreciate all your help today! Highly recommend this shop and Carlos!! Will definitely be visiting for my next pair. Thank you!

Came in as a new runner, bit nervous and all but Max really made sure I got the best shoes for me. I had no idea what I was looking for but ended choosing mizunos. Thanks again!

Really poor experience. Found the shoes I?d been looking for online and in stock on their website and ordered. Had all the confirmation of order emails etc and waited for delivery in 3-5 days as stated on the website. I?ve had to chase them and been ignored multiple times only now to have been given a refund 2 and a half weeks later because they actually never had the shoes in stock at all. No email as courtesy to let me know that they were waiting for stock or anything and have now just sent refund confirmation through without any further info.
Would avoid at all costs

This shop is fantastic. All of the team here at Alton Sports are brilliant. They have excellent knowledge, are polite and courteous and the most important thing is that have a genuine interest into helping you find the right products. We ended up purchasing 2 pairs of new trainers as the help was so good.

Ordered an item at a good price, unfortunately the item never came. I tried to contact the courier but was told by them that the seller needs to contact them.
After a few back and fourth messages I was then ignored and they never gave me any further information about the delivery.
I logged both an eBay and PayPal claim and lost both because tracking showed the item delivered, without any further proof, picture/signature etc.
I am completely disappointed by the lack of customer service this company has provided and would definitely avoid in the future.
Looking into the comments on trust pilot and eBay it seems this is a common occurrence with the company, so please avoid at all costs!

Been here to pick up trainers on two separate occasions. Both times I have received brilliant customer service. This time Nick was a huge help and a good chat.
Edit: I have particularly awkward feet, which is why I usually buy in person. I was having some very minor pinching issues with the trainers I purchased, but only on one foot. The trainers themselves are really nice and I'd like to keep them, but find a solution to solve the pinching. So I went in today (a few days after purchase) I spoke to Peter who helped me pick out my Saucony Triumphs a year ago (my favorite shoes) and he has given me a free pair of trial socks to see if it helps. He also offered to exchange the shoes first but seeing as I like them so much I said I'd come back tomorrow with a verdict. Super staff, genuinely some of the best customer service I've had in a long time, thanks again Peter and Nick for the help.

Popped into the shop, and got to try some different trainers on, discover that I should try half a size bigger, and walked away very happy. Superb service by Nick. Much better than the hit and miss online experience when it comes to running shoes.

Carlos was suuuuper helpful, looked at my current shoes to see what my foot strike was like and then found shoes that would be a good fit for that impact. Took me through a few pairs until I found my favourites that felt the best and he answered all my questions. Everyone in there is very friendly and happy to help with any queries. 10/10 would recommend.
