Went to The Giggling Squid in Esher last night with 3 friends. My meal was awful, butterfly king prawn Pad Thai.. it was like mush and the prawns were so tough. I?ve never not eaten a meal before in a restaurant but it was awful.
They didn?t charge me for it but I went home hungry.
The other three ladies had different dishes and none of them enjoyed their food. We eat out together every 3/4 months and have done for 20 years, never had a bad meal.
Shame about the food but the company was fab.

Ordered through Deliveroo and was very disappointed. Had the squid saver with Thai green chicken curry. Added vegetable spring rolls and pork skewers. The rice had some hard clumps, the Thai green curry had little flavour and lots of large chunks of root ginger in that were difficult to chew. It did have a generous amount of chicken in though. The squid was greasy. The pork skewers were chewy. The best part was the spring rolls, though the ?salad? that came with them was limp and unappetising. Surprised to read all the good reviews from diners at the restaurant as the same quality doesn?t seem to go into the takeaways.

Warmly welcomed with a big smile and asked where we'd like to be seated in the restaurant. Beautifully decorated with orchids and atmosphere was great. We shared a starter of Fisherman's Feast, followed by lunchtime tapas plates, Royal, Showstopper and Hawkers. Food was very tasty and hot, slightly spicy, all delicious! Metta was our smiling server, very polite and friendly, checking in on us at intervals without being intrusive. It was our first visit and would highly recommend trying out the food. Thank you Metta!

Food was excellent , far better than what we were expecting as its a chain.
We ordered a real mix up, the slow cooked beef and pulled pork was great.
Looked beautiful, atmosphere was a little odd.
Nice decor, staff where pretty good.
No idea if the others are this good but would certainly give them a go based on this one.

The food was ok but everything was very very sweet and loaded with sugar. The massamam was sickly sweet with a few tiny pieces of dry beef and mostly carrot; worst I?ve ever tasted. The soft shell crab and prawn main was very expensive for a tiny portion which included just one prawn split in two and one tiny crab. It was also covered in peppercorns and rock hard little aubergines making 80% of the dish inedible. A truly terrible dish. The rice was served in a plastic bag that was impossible to open without scalding my hands. Sadly we left hungry and queasy even though it cost nearly £100
