Yesterday, I mistakenly purchased non-alcoholic beer. When I returned today to exchange it for regular beer, I was told that I could not receive a refund or exchange because ?alcohol cannot be returned.?
However, this reasoning is incorrect, as the product I purchased was non-alcoholic beer and therefore not an alcoholic product. It was clear that the colleague I dealt with simply refused to assist me and did not provide a fair resolution.
I am very disappointed with this experience and the lack of customer care shown. I request that this issue be addressed and that I be allowed to return or exchange the non-alcoholic beer I purchased.

The staff are usually very helpful and friendly, which I?ve always appreciated. However, this evening I went to the tobacco counter because there was no queue, and the older gentleman serving there seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. That may well have been the case, but his rude attitude is what prompted me to write this review.
He didn?t make eye contact, didn?t respond when I said hello, and only spoke to ask if I wanted my receipt. I said no at the time, but in hindsight, I wish I had taken it just so I could include his name here. If I encounter the same behaviour again, I?ll make sure to get the receipt and report the experience directly.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service at this store. Lucy Boothroyde's behavior towards both customers and staff was shockingly unprofessional. She came across as rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic courtesy. It's unacceptable for someone in a managerial position to speak to people in such a disrespectful manner. This kind of attitude reflects poorly on the entire store. Definitely not the standard of service I expect from Waitrose.

It always has what I want, service is decent, and I have fond memories of queueing here during lockdown. Bit pricey though as they have a monopoly on town centre groceries.

Returned a pair of reading glasses only to be told only refund cash less than £5 or take a gift card even though the back of receipt says return for a refund. This is an absolute con!! I will never EVER shop in Waitrose or John Lewis again.

I needed to buy some finger food for guests at a local concert.
Wide choice - I ended up buying packs of mini cakes (chocolate ones and chocolate and walnut cakes) 9 for £3.75.
Helpful staff when I was searching for items.

Popped in to grab lunch then cashier by the exit was rude to me and the woman in front of me when I paid I tried to cheer him up by saying hope you have a nice day and he rolled his eyes at me. Clearly under an undue amount of stress and Waitrose should do better

nice store and always kept well stock apart from when it comes to organic veg which has a terrible selection. just because i want organic food doesn?t mean i want to stuff my face with 10 different types of lettuce. they manage to sell avocados but no garlic? or red onion? no tenderstem broccoli or asparagus either?! it?s ridiculous. i get it?s a small shop but the amount of organic lettuce they stock is outrageous and also has to be the worst veg to stock, i mean seriously who is actually buying that. organic meat and cheese is well stocked though

Bloke with the beanie thats always on the fresh aisle is lucky he didnt get a smack with the way he spoke to me. Will be a VERY different story next time?
