They were certainly not supportive. They made me feel lonely and isolated. I would recommend never calling them for support. Be mindful that they might stop you calling at some point as well for a certain amount of days.

What can really be said about the Samaritans? We have to remember that we are taking about wonderful people who give their time, for no financial reward, merely to help others. I have found that so so many of them have been through their own "mill", and have used the experience of their own pain, to help others through theirs. I honestly can't say how beautiful these selfless souls are. If you, like I did, find yourself in pain, call them. Totally non judgemental and always ready to listen.
