Mixed Feelings about David Lloyd - Recent Renovations Bring ChallengesMy experience has been quite a rollercoaster, with some positive but mostly negative aspects that are worth mentioning.? Negative Points:Oversubscribed Gym Leading to Parking Issues:The management's decision to oversubscribe the gym has resulted in a parking nightmare during peak times. Finding a spot becomes a daunting task, and it adds unnecessary stress to the overall gym experience.Difficulty Finding Equipment During Peak Times:Peak hours at David Lloyd present a challenge as finding available equipment becomes nearly impossible. The oversubscription issue significantly impacts the ability to have a seamless workout during busy periods.Constant Issues with Spa/ Sauna and Steam Facilities:The consistent malfunction and lack of cleanliness in the sauna and steam facilities are disappointing. This ongoing problem diminishes the overall quality of the gym experience.Price Hike Despite Reduced Facilities:Following a recent renovation that limited access to essential amenities without offering discounts, David Lloyd raised its prices considerably. This decision, coupled with the oversubscription, raises concerns about the value for money.Inflexible Membership Terms:Attempting to leave the gym comes with its own set of challenges, as the requirement for a three-month notice period seems excessively restrictive, especially given the existing issues.? Positive Points:Well Funded and Fully Equipped Gym:The gym is well-funded and boasts an impressive array of equipment, making it an ideal spot for a diverse range of workouts. The cleanliness maintained by the staff adds to the positive atmosphere.Two Heated Swimming Pools with Ample Space:The presence of two heated swimming pools is a definite highlight. Even during busy hours, there is usually enough space, allowing for an enjoyable swim.Good Food Choices and Spacious Dining/Working Facilities:The food choices are commendable, and the large dining/working facilities provide a comfortable space to relax or catch up on work post-workout.In summary, while David Lloyd boasts impressive facilities, recent challenges such as oversubscription, equipment availability, and ongoing issues with Spa facilities have significantly dampened the overall experience. The recent price increase without addressing these concerns makes it hard to recommend this gym as a good value for money option.

Less than two years DL has helped me in both body and mind enormously. My favourite classes are Ign1te, Legs/bums&core. My local club is so clean and very pleasant also thanks to the cleaning staff.

Really enjoy being a member of David Lloyd Epsom, the reception staff are so welcoming, I especially love taking part in the blaze classes, Steph and Darren are amazing!! Great motivators even at 06:15 in the morning!
