Wow! I cannot believe how much in just a few years how Blacks has changed for the worse. A few years ago when I last visited I absolutely loved the food-the burgers were juicy and delicious. Yes a little bit more than a high street burger joint but at the time it was worth it. This evening?s experience has resulted in me never going to Blacks again. Over £50 for two burgers, two fries and two buds. The burgers were small and thin, the meat quality was poor and the cheese and bacon were nothing to write home about. The waitress asked if we needed any sauces and duly delivered a plastic bottle of mayo to our table covered in some other coloured sticky sauce! Lovely! Sadly, blacks are no longer anything special or a cut about any other burger joint, which they once were. Very disappointed by the food, the service and the overall experience. Really not worth the money. Sorry guys, just being honest here-you?ve lost my business
Update-The owner of this restaurant has since been in touch with me and has fully investigated what went wrong. I was given a detailed explanation of what went wrong and at the end of the day I understand we are all human and these things happen. On a brighter note, he couldn?t have been any more helpful and has now resolved the matter to my complete satisfaction and I am now really looking forward to my next visit to Blacks. Thank you Phil-A lot of owners and mangers could learn a lot from you and the way you handled the situation perfectly.

Really nice burger/contents but a cold bread bun , It might have been a one off though . A bit annoyed at the whole app ordering situation as it feels a bit weird to ask for simple things while everything is on an app...it also means that either my wife or I have to stare at our phones for 5-10 mins while ordering which I didn't like , not a great thing to do in a restaurant as the moment you sit down your looking at your suddenly on your phone.. that's probably a culture thing that some deem acceptable but not me sorry. The restaurant is nice and clean as I assume/got the impression that the staff don't have much to do but clean up as they don't take orders in the traditional way. We were kindly offered ice cream on the house which was lovely. The waiting staff could be more aware of timing as they ask if the food is ok literally as I take a massive bite , later again they come to ask if we are ok as my wife is on the phone during an important but brief call , so maybe more awareness of timing. Burger is delicious like I said the bun was cold but I hope it was a one off. Will come again when next in the area as really enjoyed the burger, my criticisms are only constructive and honest based on me.

Really disappointing tonight. We have been Blacks Burger fans for some time now but tonight will be our last visit.
Service was OK, food was great but it's lost its atmosphere. Restaurant was cold, no life, no feeling, dull and just lacked anything that always felt homely before.
Sorry Team but unless you bring back the great Blacks atmosphere that you had before, we won't be back.

The first Uber Driver cancelled, which wasn?t the restaurant?s fault but when I called they advised they had a ?30-minute? rule meaning your food can sit there for 30 minutes before being picked up. When the food arrived, it was completely stale and had to be reheated in the oven. I?ve complained to Uber and tried to contact the restaurant, the member of staff was extremely rude and dismissive. Disgusting food for a £45 pair of burgers. Will never order again.

Was so excited to read reviews and see that the original owners had taken back over as last time I ordered on Uber eats my chicken burger was burnt and inedible. I waited over an hour for my food to come it was freezing cold and cheese looked like rubber. I had to throw my whole order away. Uber eats offered no refund or compensation whatsoever!

Fantastic burgers and great service. Shame about the consistency on brownie desserts. In the last 3 visits, no brownies have been available which is no ideal given these are equally as popular as the burgers.

Compared to when it first opened years ago it's gone dramatically downhill. The burgers are alot more smaller. Not many sides to choose from anymore. Burger its self was very dry nothing like they used to be. No brownies. Ice cream was lovely though.

Simply the best burger in Epsom and Surrey!
Perfect patties, well seasoned, super hot suaces and burgers, best quality!
Since re-openjng under original ownership its been top and badly missed in its hiatus.

PS Get the Jalapeños and Hot sauce on the burger and skinny fries are immense.

Great burgers and excellent service. Ordered using the QR code at the table which was nice and convenient. Our food arrived quickly and the staff were really keen to ensure we had a good experience. This will be out goto for burgers from now on and definitely better than the various chain restaurant offerings.

I ordered a hamburger and waited for 40 minutes, even when there was no one else in the store, and the person who arrived 20 minutes after me got their food before me. The staff's attitude was also very bad, and didn't even bother to ask what the problem was after I urged she.

I had the veggie burger and it was delicious!
