This was our first visit from Tilford to try out the fish & chips.
We were not disappointed.

The flavour, the quality, the price, very impressed?.. all round.
Liked the little touch of the fresh lemon wedge on the battered cod.
Lovely light batter.
Chips nicely cooked and the well wrapped food made it home, to still be hot to enjoy.

I had an amazing fish and chips here!! I?m gluten free so knowing I have a fish and chip shop nearby that definitely does GF everyday is so helpful. Staff were lovely and food was so tasty (which is hard to find when you?re gf). Will defo visit again!!

I recently had the classic British dish?fish and chips from elstead fish and chip, and it was a satisfying experience overall. The fish was perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yet tender and flaky on the inside. The batter was light and not overly greasy, which made it especially enjoyable. The chips were thick-cut and well cooked with a good balance between softness and crunch.
What truly elevated the meal was the side of tartar sauce and a splash of malt vinegar, which added a tangy contrast to the richness of the fried fish. A side of mushy peas also brought a comforting, traditional touch.
While the portion size was generous, I felt the chips could have been a bit hotter and crisper. Still, the meal delivered on the hearty, comforting promise of this beloved dish.

Lovely chip shop! The staff are ever so friendly and welcoming, always have a smile on their face. The fish and chips are both devine, I also particularly enjoyed the fish cake and cod bites! Absolutely amazing!
