Friendly and professional staff at this branch - my new favourite branch as my local one has been closed. I visited the bank this morning and although I don't normally leave reviews I felt that in this case the staff deserved the positive review. There was an elderly lady in the branch today who from what I could tell had been a victim of a scam of some sort (none of my business but she was obviously distressed). The staff were being compassionate and supportive. This is why branches are so important, having someone who you can actually go and speak to face-to-face when you really need it.

I always make a point to go to the Egham branch, I find staff there very helpful and friendly. No matter what silly question I ask their customer service is brilliant.

Tried to open an account... What should I say? It is really a pain in the a**. Why do you need proof of residency if you sent a letter to my home address? And why do you not accept this letter as proof? Apparently your own letters are not trustworthy, I guess this bank is also not. I am not with Santander as they are much more willing to come towards me.

Small, local feeling branch, with friendly staff. Could do with some modernization inside, as there's not a lot of room. However the cashiers were very knowledgeable and professional, and happy to help fix the issue we were having.

I have been a member of Nationwide for 25 years and this branch has to be the worst I have ever visited. The staff are unhelpful and obtuse to the detriment of Nationwide as a business. I travel a further 5 miles just to get customer service.
I am updating this after 2 years and things have not changed. A couple of new faces but it appears that the management of this branch breeds poor service. Avoid at all cost
