Pistachio carrot cake! Absolutely delectable! My favourite dessert, Saturday morning it?s the first thing on my mind not too rich not too sweet and each bite tastes better than the last!

About a third of the way through a bike ride, I happened upon this charming little Italian cafe. Determined just to stop for a coffee and maybe one pastry, I stepped inside. However, confronted by the sights and smells of a well-stocked pastry table and freshly made ciabatta, I felt the red mist descend.
What happened in the interim is still hazy, but I regained lucidity, outside, as a charming member of staff emerged holding two cakes and one sandwich, and asked me ?are these all for you??. ?Yes? I mumbled, a little stunned by my own greed. She nodded discretely and placed them down.
I?ll save you the grisly details, but suffice to say, all three items exceeded expectations. I mounted my bike refreshed, refueled, and with renewed admiration for the Italian diaspora. Thank you!

Amazing breakfasts and lunches, delicious coffee and to-die-for cakes and sweet treats. Everything cooked from scratch. Take away meals for large gatherings or when you are a bit stretched (or lazy!) are a Godsend.
