The coffee / Tea machine wasn't working on Saturday 2nd August, i'm not sure if that's continually not working from when the older reviews noted this too, or if it's a reoccurring or intermittent issue. Other Waitrose branches don't seem to have the difficulty when visiting those. Separately, it would be good for Waitrose to expand in Surrey, and for example take over the old M&S store in the Redhill Belfry shopping centre.

This branch has really gone downhill, no understanding of customer service. Only one till was open despite the queue blocking the aisles, and I saw five other staff wandering around with their headsets on apparently not doing anything. Two of the staff were just standing by the tills having a chat. When I suggested to another member of staff wandering past that they might want to open another till, he argued back saying I was nearly at the front of the queue (not knowing how long I had been waiting).
Lady at checkout couldn?t have been less interested, but wasn?t even attempting to make any effort to be polite.
Two watermelons I bought were both off, and had clearly been on the shelf for too long.
The manager here should be replaced.
Small wonder Waitrose are losing market share to
M&S - which is miles better, both for customer service and food quality.

Flabbergasted. What constitutes looking 25 anymore. A 60year mum, a wedding ring, several forms of id on a phone as a photo.
To say my wife looks young is a compliment. To make her feel like she is a criminal is a crime. What standardized training has been implemented to determine who ?looks 25? when a 34 year old is declined service by a single individual and no other member of staff or manager on duty on could use logic. Lost custom, lost loyalty, congrats on your bureaucratic approach Waitrose. Please shop anywhere else, overpriced overpaid no value for people.
