Postal service is atrocious. Mothers day card requested for delivery 10 days ago by 1st class post has just turned up now. Regularly get letters for hospital appointments that took place in the past due to just how poor the post office service is. Considering how expensive 1st class post is their service is unacceptable

Terrible experience trying to renew my driving licence at Dorking Post Office. This branch is located in the town centre, although there?s no immediate parking facilities, at the back of M&S, there is pay meter parking.I went to this particular branch as I needed to urgently renew my driving licence and the DVLA suggested this was the best option. Here I should have been able to get digital photos and staff assistance to check & process the application. Unfortunately, before I was able to enquire about driving licence renewal, the counter staff advisor abruptly informed me, that, the Photo Booth was out of order. I attempted to explain my situation and what the DVLA had recommended. Additionally I said I already had printed passport size pictures so it didn?t matter if they couldn?t take digital pics. To cut a long story short, the DVLA told me to show Post Office staff the content the online chat I had the previous day so the Post Office would process my renewal without the need for further documentation. Despite calmly explaining this twice, the customer service advisor (female) said she was unable to assist me. In case there might be an issue, I?d brought the completed paper application form and would have sent it next day delivery. Nevertheless, as soon as I started to speak, another member of staff who appeared to be a manager (male) intervened. He did not introduce himself or his role, he just interrupted his female colleague, standing behind her chair, arms crossed in a rather patronising and menacing way. Once again I explained what I was trying to do, at which point he became aggressive and said HE had NO TIME or intention to look at the DVLA conversation from the online chat. As I looked round to see if in the meantime more customers had come in, he threatened to remove me from the Post Office and ban me! I left the Post Office enraged and deflated with the lack of customer service, communication skills and the widespread unwillingness to provide any assistance beyond the minimum required.Since then, I complained to Post Office HR team and I await a response. I lived in Dorking for years and used to go to the Post Office with my then toddler daughter to stick stamps on letters and buy small stationery items, I remember staff often helping children with posting letters, or patiently exchanging pennies into pound coins, as well as providing excellent service to all customers.PLEASE NOTE; Upon returning home I contacted the DVLA. They were very surprised to hear about my awful experience as apparently the Post Office is supposed to provide quality, quick and easily accessible services in partnership with the DVLA.Overall I would not recommend this Post Office branch and in my opinion it was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered.

I have complained to the Post Office about the lack of postal deliveries and they agreed that Dorking has a problem. Unfortunately until they improve the service there is no alternative to collecting your own post if you are expecting important correspondence. JGB Dorking

Use to be clean friendly efficient. Since new team came in, could NOT be worse. Disgrace. So dirty, and service is far from professional. Please get new people in ASAP. You cannot get this many very bad reviews, if doing things right!!

Invaluable local service, even more so now that only the Natiowide bank still has a branch in the High Street. All the usual services plus cash withdrawals. Parcel Post services are alongside though have shorter opening hours.

Lady in front of me was sending a parcel when she noticed the sellotape was peeling back on her parcel. She politely ask the man if he had a piece of sellotape,he rudely stated it was not his job to supply and fix her parcel, telling her to go and buy the sellotape,So rude, she just walked out of the post office

I came to the DORKING post office recently and I wanted to inform you about the terrible experience I had as a customerThe Asian looking gentleman was very abrupt with me.I came in with my four year old son to solve problem with electricity key and without even trying to listen to what I was trying to say he literally chased me away he said we don?t do this here so please go now I felt so humiliated and leftI don?t know why he behaved so badly I hope he does not behave like this to anyone in future .Iam also an Asian but felt embarrassed with being treated like this.I then went to a convenience store and the difference in the service they provided to me was outstanding.

A dismal shambles. It looks and operates like a place that no-one cares about with no desire on the part of staff to try to help customers.

Every time I go to this place I regret it. One person working in the middle of the day - queue out the door. Other assistant avoiding eye contact whilst filling out some forms (surely that could have waited). The smaller post offices like North Holmwood are far better - life is too short to go to this place again. No other organisation could get away with customer service like this no wonder Royal Mail loses money.

They?re never open and when they are the staff are very rude. There?s no harm in asking questions and I shouldn?t be made to feel stupid for doing so.
