We can't thank Martin Grant Homes enough for building our forever home! Buying off plan in March just before a global pandemic, has been eventful to say the least. However, the team were always on hand to help reassure us with any concerns or questions we had. Now we are in our home, we cannot fault it. Our home is exactly how we imagined it from buying off the plans! Can't wait to make memories. Thanks to Natalie and Lucy for all your time!

We bought an MGH home on the King's Reach development in Biggleswade in 2013. We had a few initial glitches, nothing major, but did later find the ensuite cold and had a leak in one of the bedrooms. The cold ensuite, we were told, was 'normal'. It took four years and many emails to get them to come and look at the bedroom leak; it only took a squirt of silicone in the right place to fix it.\\nSoon after the bedroom leak was fixed we found the cause of the cold ensuite - there was no insulation in the attic above it. We also found that the ventilation ducts had been fitted incorrectly in the attic, draped over the trusses in a way that can allow condensation to form inside them. That was a breach of building regs but we had to pay for someone to fix it because we didn't find it in the 2 year warranty period.\\nSoon after that my partner became disabled; our house was, internally, well suited to a wheelchair. Externally it was different. Building regs require a level threshold and we have a 3 inch step (and some MGH houses on this development are worse!) and the roads had been laid out as per plans developed before the DDA came into force in 2004; our route to the main shop on the estate involved cobbled or rutted grass/mud surfaces, and was not at all wheelchair friendly. I contacted MGH about this two years ago and they don't seem to be interested in solving it, they seem to want to palm the problem off on to the council.\\nIn short - I would recommend anyone buying an MGH home get a surveyors report within a month or two of moving in, and notify MGH of all issues they find, and chase them to ensure they are.\\nI would also recommend that any local planning authority involved in dealings with MGH check their work very carefully, for they have quite clearly signed off properties and roads on King's Reach Biggleswade as being compliant with the necessary legislation when they shouldn't have done.

We moved to MGH Aylesbury in AUG 2019. During our new home search, we found many developers around; however we found MGH specifications and build quality exceptional. Throughout the process the MGH team were so helpful especially Emily and Jo (Thank you for your friendly and smooth service!). Even after moving in, MGH customer care team and Site Manager were so responsive to our queries.

I feel that the one star reviews are unfair and so I feel it only right as a resident of their Summerswood development 6 months in that I offer my own view.

From the moment we first saw our home, we were impressed by the style and design choices that had been made. The house was obviously of a superior quality to other new builds we had seen, with more character and more attention to detail. As soon as we put in our offer, the sales team were exceptional. They kept us updated on the progression of the build and we were able to visit whenever we wanted to get measurements, review the progress and ask questions. Our point of contact at the sales office was impeccable. She answered all of our hundreds of questions quickly either in person, via email or on the phone. You absolutely knew, as a buyer, she was committed to you to ensure things ran as smoothly as possible. Even once we moved in, she answered other queries that occurred and popped round to check we were ok.

We recently moved to Summerswood a Martin Grant development in Ifield near Crawley and can safely say it was the best decision that we could have made.

I put a £5,000 deposit down on a Martin Grant home 2016/2017 for their Cuckfield project. Through no fault of my own I had a delay in my chain and they took half of my deposit and said sorry we are selling to someone else. They then ended up not selling it for another 1yr (karma) because their buyer fell through.. I ended up selling a month later and buying a much better house from Cala Homes. The new Sales director was an utter plum with zero personal skills. On reflection in extremely happy it fell through because you notice the difference in finish. They are cheaply constructed and this particular house had a garage at the rear of the house round the corner. Sloppy. I suggest never buy from these cowboys.
