This place used to be nice, but I?m updating my review given a recent visit. Visited to have a drink in the sunshine. Bar is now very small with only one ale on tap. Walking out into the garden we were greeted by about 20 kids and parents using the place as a playground. Tables and chairs dirty and battered. Music blaring out from a speaker into the garden. We drank up and then went elsewhere.

Overall a very nice little place to have a light meal and a drink. Like most places these days a tad expensive for what you are served. But that's just Rip off Britain in 2025. This is Far better place to eat than many other establishments in the Chertsey Area.

Came here on the 15/03/25 for the first time. Staff are lovely, but the food is very much standard fare for a pub. Also, be warned, they add a service 10% charge onto the bill. Personally I prefer to have the option to tip. Sadly disappointed in our experience and won?t be rushing back anytime soon.
Kid-friendliness: Really good facilities for kids!

While the food maybe good if you like red meat and pizzas. There is very little alternatives like fish or chicken options, or anything healthy!! So is a no go for me, which is unfortunate as I'm an 8 min walk away!!

Popped in after winning a free lunch. Food was good. We had ?The Steve? and ?The Rustic? also onion rings and cheesy garlic bread. Food and service was great, really cute spot

Great local pub, we go for drinks every Friday night after work, and often drop in for food at weekends too. Family and dog friendly, games indoors and out, large garden, kid's playground at the back. Best wood fired pizzas around, with take-out too.
Vegetarian options: Several veggie/vegan options
Dietary restrictions: My granddaughter has milk and soy allergies, they have no problem accommodating her.

Lovely food and really nice staff. Digital darts and, the best pub game since pool, shuffleboard! Get down here, have a few drinks, dinner and a few games. It's worth spending a bit of time here and, once it's summer, enjoy some boules (or whatever they call it lol).

We love this place! Games and food are excellent with a gorgeous garden to use in the summer. We play the pub quiz and enjoy the format. Staff couldn't do enough for you.

Had a great afternoon celebrating my birthday. Cocktails were lovely, food was fantastic and had great fun playing shuffleboard and darts. Bar staff very attentive and we were the last to leave! Thoroughly recommend this place

Food was absolutely shocking I had beef brisket which was more like the sole of my boot when I've had beef brisket is very tender and falls apart this didn't it never broke apart at all as for the staff they done the best what they could do in the situation they are working in but as a way of compensation they offered me mashed potato or chips with my roast dinner I don't think it goes very well together so keep pushing on and hopefully one day you will get where you need to be as it is a great venue for music on a Friday or Saturday a bit of tweaking in the kitchen is definitely needed but until then I will give it a big miss

Went for a roast thought we?d go out save cooking a roast at home. Big mistake. Brisket was tough, roast potatoes were jacket potatoes roasted. A roast should include roast potatoes not jackets. The veggie option was a veggie burger spit in half with gravy on the top, worst veggie roast I?ve ever had in 30 years.
Complained and refused to pay. Such a shame as the golden grove is a nice pub just not for a Sunday roast. Won?t be back for a roast.

Really nice secluded pub. Went in for a birthday meal for my daughter with my family. Food was brilliant. Can't recommend the pizzas more. Only a small play area out the back. Staff were really friendly and service was quick.

3 adults and 1 young child £200, not worth that money for pub food, rip off.

My husband, daughter and I came here with our dog at the weekend. My husband had a pizza and my daughter and I shared some small plates - chicken wings, macaroni cheese, garlic bread and salt and pepper squid. Nice meal, friendly staff. The pub is well presented inside and out.
