When you have pizza express you know what you?re getting. I went for an American in the Romana style (larger and flatter).
It was very tasty, pepperoni was cooked well and none of it was burnt.
Service was polite and efficient albeit there were only two customers in for lunch.
Which brings me on to my last issue which is the pricing. It?s too expensive. My pizza was £15 (my colleague paid as it was my birthday) but I feel like if they did a lunch time deal for £6 they would sell a load more.
Would go again if in Chertsey due to limited choice but in London you can get pizza as good elsewhere for much cheaper.

What is with the portion sizes in Chertsey? Everything was much smaller than other branches. My son was given dough balls that were the size of 20p pieces. All the pizzas were smaller than we've had in other branches. Won't be returning.

Bit of a mixed experience in here tonight!
Turned up without a booking and were seated and had our orders taken nice and quickly. It was busy so we were told the wait could be half an hour or so - no problem. Two tasty g+ts and over an hour later, the table that arrived after us have had their starters and their mains arrive. I call over the server who has already ?checked? on our order once before and he assures us he will check on our order and make sure it gets done next. Hungry and fed up, he comes back over and tells us it is being made. So imagine our surprise when it never materialises and in fact the kitchen has ?lost the ticket? and unfortunately there?s no burnt ends pizza left. Extremely disappointing.
Props to the guy in the floral shirt (the manager?) who sorted it out- he couldn?t have been more apologetic and nice. He offered us new pizzas on the house which arrived very quickly and also wouldn?t let me pay for the drinks which was very much appreciated. We had the pizzas to takeaway because, after sitting there for an hour and a half, the time was running out on the car park.
Pizzas were very tasty and it won?t put us off returning. We?ll be going back for the pizzas we originally went there for!

As Pizza Express restaurants go, this has attentive helpful staff, though not the best pizzas I've had from this chain. Maybe I should stick to their classic base. The Romana might be thin, but it's just not that crispy! Excellent polenta chips, as always, though. Seems to one of those branches where desperate parents come when they're fed up of cooling for the children....and I know the feeling. ?

Special family treat for husband's birthday this evening. Very disappointing - doughballs chilled, service unremarkable, excessive dressing on salad, food was nothing special. And charged well over £100 for 4.
Pizza Express is not what it used to be. Won't be going again anytime soon.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for my son's pizza making party (6th birthday). The staff were friendly and helpful - particular mention to Carlos who ran the kid's party. He somehow managed to keep the attention of a room full of six year olds and expertly taught them how to make their pizzas in a light hearted and fun way. Very impressed.
The food for the adults was quick and tasty, all in an all a fantastic experience all around. Well done!
Kid-friendliness: The restaurant and the staff seem to have a keen focus on being kid-friendly. Some children at our party had extra sensory needs and the staff not only picked up on it and acted accordingly, but all of our requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Worst delivery I ever had, small, cold portions, the picture was supposed to be a mixed salad for £5.95, the bruschetta had pesto on it, it all looked like someone?s leftovers
