Lovely room. Very friendly and helpful night staff. Lady on reception last night was very welcoming & friendly. Cannot believe this place is not at least a 3 star.

Stayed here while visiting a friend at Sandhurst. In terms of location, it was absolutely fantastic, and the team running the hotel made sure that I felt very welcome during my stay, nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
Unfortunately, it was during the most humid part of the year, and without air conditioning in the rooms, it made it very hard to get comfortable, however a fan was provided so it was clear the staff were trying to make an effort to make us feel comfortable. Also, my room was directly over the main junction, which lead to myself being woken up at multiple times during the night thanks to boy racers using their exhaust noises to compensate for certain things.
Value for money was there, and the comfort wasn?t a result of their own actions, so 4*!

No air conditioning, a 20 year old desk fan as temperature control, rubbish location and rude staff. The food is also disgusting ?

Town centre location, always a pain to checkin self service never working and staff never around to greet you.

It's Travelodge, a budget hotel chain. That being said this was my third stay at this Travelodge. The first two were excellent, this one, not so much!
When I checked in, the chap manning reception was surly, very unfriendly, obstructive in attitude and unhelpful, completely different from the friendly , helpful welcome I have previously received. Despite my stay being for more than one night this man only authorised my keycard for one night leaving me in the difficult position the following day of not being able to access my floor or room with the dogs locked in the bedroom. The person on reception sorted the issue immediately.
The room faced onto the A30, the noise was so bad with the window open I could not hear the television and even with the window closed could still be heard. Further the room was stiflingly hot, I couldn't sleep due to the heat and both my dogs suffered, continually panting. These issues were a general complaint of fellow guests, a number of people both at breakfast and who I met on my floor raised the same complaints, Travelodge really needs to take steps to remedy matters.
Breakfast was mediocre, if you're after unlimited breakfast you would be much better going up to Rackstraws where the cooked breakfast is freshly cooked to order and much better quality, although marginally more expensive. The croissants were hard, the waitress said she would warm one to soften it - she was doing her best to help with a stale/grossly overcooked croissant - the end result was that it was even harder and dark brown in the middle - my dogs ate it, I couldn't.
All that being said, it was only the man who checked me in whose attitude was appalling, all the other members of staff have gone out of their way to help and try to ensure a good stay. However, the complete lack of help or welcome on arrival soured the whole stay for me particularly given the issues with noise and heat in the room. Previous stays I have not experienced these issues and have been delighted with the room (which previously faced onto the car park and where there were no noise issues) and with the wonderful staff who have been friendly, caring and welcoming.

Everything was alright as a stopover during my trip, it was acceptable for a simple night?s sleep. However, the network signal was very poor ? my phone barely had any reception inside the room!

Worst sleep ever due to the noisy traffic. It was Friday night so probably due to the KFC next door and countless motor bikes revving engines outside. The windows need some soundproofing

Don't normally leave negative reviews but was very disappointed here. I have stayed here in the past and had no problems but booked a stay this week a couple of weeks back and everything was confirmed and paid for. Turned up late Tuesday after a wedding only to be told they had no rooms free. They did offer to pay for a taxi to stay at another branch however the closest was Guildford. It was after midnight and I ended up having to spend the night waiting at the train station

Great layover on our way back. There's a KFC next door, so easy coffee in the morning too!

I had to book online this was the advised of the receptionist.
After booking room were in good condition.
Everything was clean
The problem we had was at night group of ,,youngster?s,, were very very loud and shouting and fighting. Outside was very noisy had keep the window open as it was too hot in the room.
I had to ask next day for my bedsheet to be changed someone did come in my room but didnt change my bedsheet so i had remind them as being sick.
Did report that at night it was so loud.
My son wanted breakfast and not me i had to pay for a adult to get my son his breakfast even a day bwfore someone on receiption told me only my child could eat i dont need to pay for adult. Next day they refused i had to pay full amount +£1 for child. Which i find is unfair i didnt even eat and paid £12
