I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best pie I ever had, was a bit dubious as mustard can sometimes overwhelm the flavour of everything but this home made masterpiece was just perfect. With a choice of up to 5 different fillings on its famous pie night alongside a full menu there is no reason not to enjoy the delights of this friendly village pub

Fantastic food, way-above normal pub food. Beautiful pie in wonderful puff pastry. Large portion. Accompanying chips wonderful- presumably triple-cooked.
The 4 of us had truly outstanding meals.

An excellent restaurant. Meal quality is exceptional and unusual to find this in a pub. Assumed that the pie offering would similar to other pub offerings but not so - the best steak pie ever! This place is great.

The meals we had at this lovely old pub were exceptional. They have pie night on Thursday and Saturday, and the pies (4 to choose from) were sensationally good, with very generous helpings. However, it wasn't just the pies, all of our meals were excellent, the dessert too, and the host and his staff were friendly and helpful. It would be worth your while travelling any distance to try this place, and I highly recommend that you do.

A lovely well run pub local pub. Haven't been here in a long time but took my Dad for a meal as he always liked it. Lovely friendly staff, great food and a lovely local individual pub feel about would.
Would absolutely recommend and hope to visit again soon.

Came for the first time last week, your food was out of this world, absolute quality. I had one of the special pies, it was gorgeous. Really nice seating outside. Would really recommend to come here.

The food was great but I found the staff very rude to a work colleague of mine. Also really annoying that it shuts at 3pm.
