I've been looking for a certain style and size of jeans in store and online for sometime now, to be told they are unavailable. Yesterday I went into store and found an odd pair which I then purchased. When I got home I discovered a ticket and a sweet wrapper in the back pocket. I went back I to store today and spoke to the manageress Sam. I asked what the store policy for returns are as I would expect items to be checked thoroughly before being returned to the shop floor as I believe the jeans had been worn. I was told by Sam that a child had most probably put the sweet wrapper into the back pocket! I'm afraid I didn't believe that for one moment as these jeans also had the label off. Sam then sniffed the jeans (lovely!) and deemed they hadn't been worn. I had tried them on so I knew that also wasn't correct. Sam then said if I didn't want them they would go back onto the rail...I said ok, you will remove the sweet wrapper and ticket and put them back. Her reply was, you've already done that for me (as I'd obviously shown her the wrapper) I Seriously cannot believe any customer service etiquette was followed on this occasion and Sam's response was unnecessary and rude.
