Disappointed when made a booking for 10 people to sit in a particular place was told yes at the time of booking. But on the day we were put next to the toilets and every time someone used the toilet an awful smell came through the open window.

Lovely setting and atmosphere but unfortunately not a great experience on our visit...
We stopped in for a dinner on a sunday evening and ordered 2 roasts and sides. All of the food arrived very quickly but was stone cold. We sent it back, only for the same meals to come back having not seen any kind of heat..
After speaking with the manager he saw to it that our food came out for the 3rd time at an edible temperate but by which point I think any sign of freshness had been nuked and what was left was some tough (and fatty) meat and a few veggies that looked (and tasted) like they'd now like to be known as rubber plants...
Maybe it was bad luck on a busy sunday!
Staff were helping and polite and did knock the food off the bill though...

Absolutely amazing food. The service was excellent and even supplied a blanket as I was cold. Just a great atmosphere in general.

After a family gathering far and wide we were thrilled with the Kingfisher in the Quay. Ideal place to meet, beautiful outlook. The whole place was delightful. Our thanks go to Beth who looked after 18 of us. Very Happy cheerful young lady who couldn't do enough for us and service was very prompt. Must mention the other staff who
contributed in helping.
We will definitely be re visiting The Kingfisher and so will some of our family members who live closer to you . Well impressed.

Charlie was really helpful and friendly today. We were there for a work retirement lunch, and she explained the best way to manage our large order, checked in on us several times, and was really efficient at clearing tables and making sure we had everything we needed.
The beautiful outdoor area overlooking the lake made it even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

Charlie well above and beyond good service. Excellent sense of humour, very helpful, paid excellent attention to us ( party of 6 ). She is a very good reason to come back and enjoy this experience, today was a special day for us and she added a great deal to it.?.

Great place to eat overlooking the lake. Atmosphere, service ,and food all great. Can get very busy at lunchtime/evening. But that tells you how nice the place is. Bit expensive but the old saying, you get what you pay for. I think it's very fair for the quality of the food.

Really well presented pub / restaurant sitting next to a lake.
The inside has been made to look like its all corrugated iron and wood, and it's very well done. Aircon slightly too cold though!
The menu is nicely varied; I had a steak minute which was substantial and superb.
Went on a bank holiday and service was a little slow but this is undersrandably an extremely popular venue and we'll be visiting again.
