A beautiful church dating back to the 12th century in the heart of a modern high street. A lovely place of peaceful tranquility.

Very very sad examples of Christians..I have been approached spoken to by an older lady of the church who spoke in a such a rude, condescending and patronising manor asking if ?I was stupid and could read ?. This was because I mistakenly turned into the car park ?she wanted to know what business I had in the neighbourhood?I explained I didn?t realise the car park was private and that I couldn?t just pay for my spot there, she was belligerent. As I then proceeded to leave the car park upon realising my mistake she proceeded to stand along side my car and continued blast me for not knowing about the permit. Basically shooing me out like a dog. Some people across the road saw the altercation take place and informed me that the members of the church quite often aggressively approach anyone who dares enter the car park and have been known to send off pictures of cars to council even for people who have stayed on a matter of minutes there. It?s like they go out of there way to interfere with others and act like wardens??Christians? like this lady are why I will never go to church.

I visited All Saints for the first time on 23 March 2022. The shingled "Witch's Hat" spire is beautiful. Inside the church are a number of treasures for those interested in churches. The two-light west window is by William Morris & Co. At the right hand side of the chancel arch is a chrisom tablet, a commemoration of a baby who died very young. The reredos is a copper Arts and Crafts work comprising a large, raised inscription. On the north wall of the space below the bells is a memorial tablet to a Royal Artillery officer who commanded the guns at Talavera, one of Wellington's important victories in the Peninsular War against the French.

Part of a walk I do, I especially enjoy the church grounds. There is an almost tangible sense of peace and calm in the area.

Banstead is a lovely well kept village. I haven't been inside the church, but it has a very interesting graveyard, with graves dating back to the 1700s. If, like me, you find old graveyards interesting, you will like this one.
