Our visit today on 21st August at 1.15 for lunch was very disappointing. We live locally and have been there many times. It wasn?t that busy but after finding a table staff eventually came and took orders for drinks leaving menus Nothing arrived for almost 15 minutes and we were then told food would mean a 45 minute wait. We declined this and after a further 10 minutes we asked about the drinks we had asked for. These finally arrived after another short wait. Frankly it was unacceptable and I can?t imagine going back anytime soon.

Popped in here during our Ed Sheeran Portman road trip, the fish and chips were very nice, but do note it is very large. No problem for me, however I did notice a common theme of people leaving food, which implies maybe the portions are too big. Despite this, a very tasty, well decorated local pub. Would

Just stopped to have breakfast here, both me and my partner had the full English breakfast, I can honestly say this is one of the worst breakfasts we've had in a while, I had to send my eggs back (fried) came out hard in the middle still swimming in oil, my partner had black pudding which wasnt edible, VERY undercooked and had only been cooked on one side, the bread was dry as anything even with butter, this is a weatherspoons breakfast at double the price, if this was £6 you'd not expect much but at £15 a breakfast the quality should be MUCh better. Would not recommend and will not return for food.

Not a great visit scaffold around hotel. No air con just fan it was hot . couldn't have windows fully open , it was hot . with curtens open as workers would arrive early , went for a nice trip for mi nightly toilet brake left light off so didn't wake wife which is virtually impossible as every floor board creaks , fell over step from room to toilet scraping both arms and brusing leg as landed in Bath . But at least we has a laugh at that one. Breakfast it's a table order one no help uresef continental . Ime a big eater .I ate that one then went to cafe down road .

The Crown is one of our locals. Excellent atmosphere. Food is good. Right in the town by local shops. Castle is a 5 minute walk. Recommend for food and drinks. Closes quite early though. Around 9pm..

Super little boutique style hotel slap in the middle of Framingham.
Great social bar, nice restaurant & good rooms particularly if you can splash out & treat yourself to a premium room.
Issi, the front of house manager was extremely helpful & a credit to the hotel, having quality staff like her makes all the difference to being away from home.
Very well located for all Framingham has to offer. Highly recommend.

We had a family(9) gathering here celebrating my 80th birthday. Everything was perfect. Rooms ,amenities, food, and service were excellent. The staff also were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you all.

Stayed here previously and was very good, however booked for food in the bar for tonight. Bar was freezing no central heating on, cool
evenings still for April . Food tasty but overpriced for the amount served. Shame as now put us off for the future, not much customer service either.

I decided to surprise my wife with an overnight stay at the crown .
We weren't disappointed nothing was too much trouble , the staff were very friendly and attentive, superb food and room 8. is amazing
This probably explains why this was our 4th stay and definitely not our last

The hotel has tons of character. One of a kind stay with great and friendly staff.

**Edit - Curiously, The Crown in Framingham seems to just show here as in Woodbridge! I visited beautiful Framingham again here, this review was from circa six years ago, around January 2019, I can't recall, as obviously the date has changed since I edited my review today, on 11th March 2025.
I ate in the restaurant - good choice, the menu to my liking. It's all been revamped since my last visit in October 2011? when I stayed over for a few days. Looks lovely.
