“Excellent local pub that just oozes character and atmosphere. They serve a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the menu & specials are wide ranging and reasonably priced as well. This is definitely the best pub in the area and is very popular with locals so there may be queue at times but it's worth the wait. If you're staying in the area, The Meat Shed, Pump St. Bakery and the village shop over the road are all well worth a visit as well.”

“Popped in here during our Ed Sheeran Portman road trip, the fish and chips were very nice, but do note it is very large. No problem for me, however I did notice a common theme of people leaving food, which implies maybe the portions are too big. Despite this, a very tasty, well decorated local pub. Would”

“Nice place with great breakfast and great staff, nice and clean, sadly found not enough staff so sometimes a long wait for table or drink, never the less recommended and a great location.
