Very disappointed with the service at Sudbury Lloyds Bank. My fiancé visited with our two children to open bank accounts for them, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Despite staff being available and not busy, we were told that the accounts couldn?t be set up in-branch and that everything had to be done online. One account was eventually opened in person, but they refused to open the other due to our son's age, claiming only two banks in the entire country could help?without offering any useful guidance or clarity.
What made things worse was the misinformation. We were told someone would call us to advise further, but no one did. Later, I went online and discovered I could open an account for my son that way?something the staff clearly weren?t aware of, or chose not to mention. It seems the rules had recently changed, but the staff had no up-to-date training and couldn't provide accurate information.
Overall, the staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and poorly informed. If everything is supposed to be online now, what?s the point of having a physical branch with staff who don?t know how to assist? Very poor experience.

Useless opening times, shutting at 3.30 in the week! Cushty job for the staff. What business shuts at these times? Why not 5pm like most places. Might have to change banks as this isnt convenient.

In my experience over 15 years, this branch has knowledgeable, customer-focused and very helpful staff. They are a pleasure to deal with and give customer service way better than my experience at other banks in Sudbury.

The staff here are fabulous sort problems out quickly deal with difficult situations efficiently always on hand with a friendly smile and helpful attitude to all customers go above and beyond no problem too big or to small for them to deal with amazing service

Looks very nice. Haven?t been in for a while a not really the need to anymore. Had to go pay some cash in. Used to be able to take the dogs in, do business, have a chat and go about my day happily. Not anymore. Dogs no longer welcome - even though they?re extremely well behaved - relatively politely told so before I got to pay cash in so I had to leave. NatWest allow, Santander allow ? even the pharmacy in north street were pleasant. Had I known I wouldn?t have taken the dogs for their usual walk around town. Banked here for 40 years. All very detrimentally efficient but won?t be going back
