Lipstick and locks is a beautiful salon, with very knowledgeable and friendly stylists. Aimee Cole always gives me the best advice with my hair and I always feel amazing when she's worked her magic recolouring and styling!

I haven?t been in a hairdressers for years, due to a bad experience last time in another salon,
I was welcomed the moment I walked through the door, Nicola @ Sudbury branch, greeted me with a smile and friendly face, I sat down with her and told her about my previous experience elsewhere, said what I was wanting with my hair, she listened and advised me, giving me 100% reassurance,
I can thank you enough, for restoring my faith, my experience was 100% fantastic and I love my new hair. Thank you so much Nicola ??

Oh I really don?t want to give a bad review as some of the team are so nice in there, but I read reviews and feel like I?d like to know when deciding whether to go there or not. I?ve had a couple of good haircuts, a few bad haircuts there, but kept giving them another go. My last was so bad I won?t return. I got home and tried hard to style it in a way that worked but there?s so many layers it?s impossible. I?m going to have to have it corrected. I feel like my hair was haphazardly hacked at (those darn thinning scissors), with no consideration of my curls and when I got home I realised it?s noticeably uneven at the front, and she cut it in a way that I specifically said I didn?t want - short at the back, longer at the front. Sorry L&L I can?t return as a customer.

Can?t fault L&L at all. As a long term client I have never been disappointed with my hair. A lovely atmosphere and a real team spirit that shines through at every visit. Talented, friendly and professional staff. A fantastic business.

A disappointing very ordinary BuryStEd hairdressers. Forget the cocktail idea. Assistants eat lunch in front of customers as if it?s ok & normal. Beautician not very prepared or with good equipment or facilities. The salon name, Lipstick & Locks, and the idea of sipping a cocktail whilst having your hair & nails done, is quite far from the very ordinary reality of this salon.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Chloe who did my hair today. I haven?t been to a hair dresser in 7 months now, I was extremely nervous, and Chloe put me straight at ease. Chloe talked me through every stage of what we were doing with my hair, and I never felt like I wasn?t sure. The other girls in the salon seemed super lovely too, and made the effort to chat which was so nice! Thank you so so much to Chloe and Lipstick and Locks, I cannot wait to come back for my next appointment

So really really bad, and to be avoided at all costs. My daughter aged 13 has had two haircuts at this place. The first time I called and explained her age and I was quoted £36 for a wash cut and simple blow dry. I paid re booked her next appointment being December 2023 and left.So I get a phone call the day before reminding of the appointment which I do not need as I am adult. I arrive with my daughter No one mentions anything to me. I return to collect my daughter to pay and the I presume manager a female individual mid fifties then informs me oh we made a mistake children?s charges are only up to junior school and we need to charge you a full adult rate of £46.At no point was I advised of this on the pre appointment call or when I dropped her in. Needless to say avoid this money grabbing vile venue at all costs.Said ? manager ? I find very snooty and looked at me in very demeaning and hoity toity manor. We will never ever attend again, and this ? manager ? is awful, rude, concerned only with money and has a vastly inflated opinion of both itself and this venue. I shall be contacting trading standards also.This individual is also quite patronising and condescending and really looks to me as being a male very much of what are you doing here ? Perhaps that why I was charged for their mistake so I wil never return, job done I won?t.Absolutely disgusting place.As you can see from the sarcastic and rude response, my experience bears out the above. I do not need a pre appointment phone call, nor do I need further online patronisation of the sole driver for this ? salon? which of course if money.You miss the point I?m making you should and need to inform the customer first, you also need to conduct your business in a vastly more professional way.The time of year is irrelevant, the treatment of ? customers ? particularly minors is not. As readers can see £10 is put above and beyond any repeat business or customer care.Truly abysmal and misleading in ? response? too.

Would just like to say what a lovely salon this is and everyone is so friendly and welcoming.Had my eyebrows micro bladed by Hayley, and i was so over the moon with the result, Hayley is amazing she?s puts you at ease , explains all the procedures, and what she is going to do. I had really sparse eyebrows, very light in colour, and a scar that went through the left one. I am so happy with them?, perfect colour, and shape, and best of all no more eyebrow pencil. ? . Have also today had my eyelashes lifted and tinted and they are just wow?, they have never looked this good! Thank you so much Hayley?. Would highly recommend Hayley to anyone thinking of brows or lashes or any other beauty treatment she does. ?????? xxx

Dream wedding make-up & hair ? Everything, from start to finish, was exactly what I wanted and more! The preparation process went smoothly and accommodated each and every one of my needs. Makeup & hair artists arrived on time on the day of my wedding and did their job perfectly. A ready hairstyle blew my mind literally and made me very emotional! Thank you again! Fully recommend!

Had an appointment made with Chloe for my haircut-she was AMAZING ??I really wasn?t sure what exactly i wanted and Chloe walked me through the whole process, breaking it up into stages. We chose the colour first and she explained whether we do a full scalp bleach or highlights then we landed on the wolf cut as i didn?t want my hair too long or too short and for my piercings to still be visible. She absolutely went above and beyond ?Also, the rest of the staff there were lovely too! Really warm and friendly atmosphere from everyone there Was given a coffee too which was cute ?? Was also told how to take care of my hair for the upkeep and was shown how to style it :) This I really appreciated as its not my strong suit haha.Will defo be back!Services: Hairstyling

I moved up from London and needed a new Barbers & these guys are so good! I didn't know that they cut gents hair until my friend recommended them, they are all so lovely and give the best haircuts, I would really recommend!!!
