We had a Caribbean Blinds external shade fitted to our house extension two weeks ago and the experience has been fantastic!The fitters did a superb, professional job and the high quality installation has transformed how we can now use the glass extension during the summer months.The appearance of all the materials used blends in so well with the original structure it looks like it has always been there. The design and smart operation of the device by remote or phone is first rate and the whole installation is superb!

Unfortunately my first awning colour choice was unavailable after booking and when the fitters came to fit the awning one of the brackets was facing the wrong way. HOWEVER it is March and they came back ASAP so I didn?t miss anything, were very professional and the substitute fabric is very nice. Would very much recommend the company.

My review relates only to out-of-warranty visits. One of my blinds was inoperative and was diagnosed over the 'phone as having a faulty wind sensorI was told that CB will no longer supply this sensor and was given a choice of going elsewhere or having the sensor removed so that the blind will operate but with no wind protectionI chose the latter so as to avoid difficulty regarding diagnosis of any future problem and whose equipment might be faulty. At no time was I advised that the work might take less than 1/2 hourI was required to pay £300.00 + VAT in advance before an appointment would be offered.This I did, the engineer came and removed the sensor and reprogrammed the handsets. He was on site for less than 24 minutes! NO parts or materials were used!I realise that overheads, such as transport, travel time, training, administration and expertise have to be factored in, but I complained because I feel that the charge was HIGHLY excessiveI was told that the charge would NOT have been any higher if the engineer HAD been on site for longer!!! Subsequently I was told I would be given a "gift" (worth £30), which I declined. Following the exchange of several emails I was subsequently told that £60 would be credited to my account, and it was clear to me that our conversation was at an end!I would simply say BUYER BEWARE!

I recently had an outdoor living pod installed but with custom fitting to the guttering at the rear of my house over my deck so that are are only two support posts.It?s only been a couple of weeks and we haven?t had the best of weather since then but it?s already improved our experience of being out in the garden and despite some fears that it would be too big or too imposing, it does blend in and just oozes quality. The team were great and the thing is just brilliantly engineered.

We recently had an Outdoor Living Pod installed and the service from start to finish has been outstanding. The quality of the product is exceptional, the team who carried out the install were amazing, they left a clean and tidy site and run through everything with us once they had finished. Highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs!After messing me around, they finally came and fixed an issue on warranty and then after the fact had the cheek to issue me with a £300 bill for the warranty work.They claim this is in line with the contract and it is absolutely not. Since then, they have been harassing me with invoices for the £300 that is not due.Further to the sellers response:The only reason I had to take the sensor off was due to Caribbean Blinds failing to come out to fix the issue when asked. They also know in advance that I had removed the sensor (under their instruction) and I could not find the sensor. There is no contractual basis on which to charge me and the work was stated to be done under warranty, without condition and issuing a bill afterwards by trying to impose new conditions is totally unacceptable practice.Amazingly, they have stated in their response that they'll stop harassing me if I find the sensor (which could only be worth c£10), whether it is faulty or not. That shows just how petty they are as well as being totally wrong in falsifying a requirement for me to pay.Avoid!!!

Great concept especially in the changeable weather we get in the UK. I'd been looking for something like this for months, as I was replacing a glass covered outside kitchen.The installation was completed in five days, but the extras that I requested which was to infill over a brick wall proved to be tricky for the "experts". The side leaked constantly for months, and there's is still water seeping through due to the aluminium sheets not aligning properly. It was "fixed" with aluminium flashing tape which my neighbours have commented on.The Pod itself is supposed to be guaranteed for 5 years, but beware of the lighting strips as they are only warranted for one year. `All mine have failed in just over 18 months. Last weekend one on my four heaters wouldn't turn off, and it's not covered under their warranty.As I say Great Concept, but shop around because my experience is that after installation you'll be left wanting for the most important aspect... moving parts and electrics.

I've had blinds fitted onto my large beautiful loft bedroom bifold doors. Unfortunately Caribbean blinds fitted the blinds so that the blind box and the blind lead are in full view covering around 20% of the door opening. when door open obscuring the view I had paid a lot of money to have from my loft. In order to rectify this and hang the blind higher they have to remanufacture the packing and rails which will cost me £1200 in order to rectify their error. They said I signed the contract but of course would not have occurred to me that they will hang my blind obscuring the door opening given the lovely pictures they have on their web site. I had to have scaffolding especially for the job so the blinds had cost me just under £4000 would have expected attention to detail for that amount of money.
