Revamped the store!? That means shut half the tills for you to do it yourself. Another store you can?t shop in without massive queues. They deserve the rampant shop lifting that comes from forcing self service

I recently went into the store and was warned by signs of the refurbishment that is going on in store at the moment so understand it may be pretty chaotic later on in store in the evening with lots of mobile shelving units in front of isles and wheelie trolleys . The thing that made me feel uneasy with my visit was there were a lot of
( employees in non uniform ) stacking shelves but two men in particular were stacking the shelves down the cereal isle talking to each other in another language - I didn?t understand what they were saying as it wasn?t English - it made me feel very uncomfortable. And has put me off going back to the store . There aren?t any email details to make contact with the store .

Just been into Stowmarket Tesco at 5 pm today , 07/7/25 . Used a self service till, and had problems with a lemon not registering when I put it down, asked a attendant for help very politely ie excuse me ?, can you help me as I am having problems with the till. The attendant ( balding white haired man in his sixties) didn't acknowledge me in any way ,glared at me, fixed the lemon problem and walked off before I could read his name tag. He was extremely rude!! A bit of common curtesy wouldn't go amiss!! I'm a grumpy 65 year old as well, but I make an effort to be polite and friendly! This man shouldn't be working in Tesco with that attitude!!

Lovely staff . One star for tescos for making it hard to get through to the pharmacy. I think any sane person will realise you may have to ring a few times, if the pharmacist is busy which often they are. The time it takes to get through on Tesco phone switchboard , elderly and panicky parents / carers have to go through the a switchboard to just get through to the pharmacy., to ask re stock etc

Good Tesco. Work being carried out in the store.

Gone down hill since they took out the bakery
Smaller loaves
Smaller rollers and less in a packet for the same price as they were before removing it
Complete rip off as the Tesco in Ipswich still has the bigger items at the price they were
Do they they think everyone is gullible as we all know how Tesco are struggling and not making a very big profit ?

I am so disappointed that the bakery has closed and that my favourite Scotch morning rolls and bread are no longer available.I understand that the store is in the process of a refurbishment and have been told that the bakery will reopen again in November, I do hope that this is the case.

I go every Tuesday to do my mum?s shopping and few bits for myself. Very disappointed about bakery changes, I do not eat processed bread because of the additives, which was only choice of more options. The changes, what are they based on? Reading through other reviews, I have to agree about in house shoppers, Tesco big wigs! If you don?t want people coming into store to shop, you?re going about it the right way.

For the past 6 months or more this store has been slowly making me want to shop elsewhere. Popular items slowly disappear each week, we have lost the family packs on things like cheese and butter, now the bakery is reduced and staples like bread and rolls replaced with cakes and donuts. What fresh bread is available is overcooked on the outside and not proved properly causing it to be flat and doughy. What ever happened to providing a service and customer care. Basically profit means more than the customer

Very disappointed that Tesco, Stowmarket has decided to close their bakery. The standard of bread, rolls etc has become appalling. Please reconsider your decision and reopened the bakery ASAP. Seems that saving them financially a few £ is more important than good customer service. Shame on you.

I can no longer buy my usual bread in store due to the bread I have bought for years. The new bakery bread is tasteless, dry and hard. The French stick ( the French would be disgusted) that it could be called by that name.

There isn?t any fresh bread being baked, all that is available has been frozen. This I understand is a ?trial? and as such there is no fresh bread, seedy, or brown bread available. The ?Assisted self check out? counters are not popular leading to long queues at the few normal check outs that are manned. Time to go to elsewhere for my shopping?

I have lived here for 13 years and have seen this store go downhill in the past 2 or 3 years. If I want English cheese I can only buy Cheddar or Stilton now...even at Christmas. It has a good selection of French cheese but no Cheshire, Lancashire or any other English cheese. I used to be able to buy Rhubarb in season but no longer. The bakery has closed and now only does half baked goods which they finish in store...awful quality. May I send a shout out for Sharon,
Diana, Nikola, Melanie and Sam....fantastic and friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble!
