Frankly chilling to hear and read, over recent days, of the culture of abuse, bullying and discrimination that seems to have set in at this once great premises. I hear they take real umbrage at the mentioning of one's legal prowess, so I shall refrain from citing my own 40 years in the business; I do urge anyone who has faced a similarly appalling experience to contact me for pro bono assistance, however.

Pay for parking at Asda!! First time I've ever had to pay to visit a crappy superstore. Didnt see the machines so got a PCN pretty quickly. The shop and the town aren't worth the parking fee -go to Lidl just up the road or bypass Stowmarket and go somewhere nicer.

We do our weekly shop at this asda but the main selling point for us is the girls on the pizza counter, always so friendly and offer excellent customer service. They are a credit to the store.
Plus the pizzas are better than any take away pizza.
Keep smashing it girls.

Have made a formal complaint regarding my experience today. In general: appalling customer service, in particular from a group of women that should know better! Managers are absent, staff left to do whatever they feel like doing; including, belittling customers, making rude remarks, gossiping over headsets about customers, and not paying attention to the customers that are waiting. You are left feeling like an inconvenience. The actual store is great, nice layout and scan as you shop makes it easier. Shame about the staff. A major plus are the ladies on the pizza counter, they are always lovely and helpful, even smiling as you walk past :)

Rude, unhelpful member of staff at self service. Actually made me feel really angry but, being British, I just sucked it up so as not to cause a scene. It has resulted in this review though which, I guess, is the equivalent of a tut.

Really disappointed with the help desk, as all I had was my phone for payment, and I needed a trolley as I has overfill my basket, I approached staff at the help desk if they could assist me with releasing a trolley for me to use as I wanted to shop more, they could not help me.... You would think they would help a customer who was shopping and spending money at the store, there 4 staff members who were all Caucasian, I could not get their names as they were all wearing jackets. How disappointing is this... Poor service. Maybe there was a lack of trust for the return of the pound, as I'm of Asian descent. I don't carry change and cash with me, just like 60% of the population. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I had no choice but to leave the store and abandoned my shopping.
I doubt I will be returning to this store again.

A decent Asda, not as big as the Ipswich superstore, but still has a good and varied stock for its size. I find I can get most things in here. I like the baked goods in particular. The supermarket aisles feel a bit narrow, so you can get stuck if there?s people on both sides stood browsing. Lots of self service checkouts which is fine for me, but won?t suit everyone.

This is a nice size asda which has a good variety, from fresh produce to electrical items, clothing & a good selection of freezer items + food items. Car park to the side of the store which is free parking on Sunday & only £1 for 2 hours of parking the rest of the week which can be refunded in store with over £5 spent. The ailes are spacious & they don't tend to move stuff around like other supermarkets, which means you know where to look on each visit. There is a pizza counter where they will create a pizza of your chosen toppings & will also cook it for around 40p. Prices are competitive with any of the other supermarkets. There is a cash machine outside at the end of the building & also a tobacco kiosk, which does vape products also.Overall a great place to shop :)

Asda stowmarket has the most older people that works there,, they don't smile ( seems like they have lots of problem) they look miserable!!They are not friendly,, if you ask something, they look at you that YOU SHOULD KNOW where are the stuff you need. That's why sometimes I'm scared to ask for help.No hello or smile when you go on the till.. but at least they say THANK YOU after they give the receipt.. it's just we experience it many times that's why i do this review..!!

When we went to the Claire?s section , there was an open bottle of glitter spray that was already opened and spilt on my outfit . When we tried to tell a staff member , one of them very rudely said it was out fault and the other almost completely ignored us .The first one says?It because people like you messing around? And the other one simply looked at us and nodded her head , with a very annoyed look on her face

Self check out staff need to be more friendly. They are mostly miserable and grumpy. Not many of them have smile on they face and never feel they are focusing the costumers just bossing costumers around. Horrible attitude!!! Make me feel anxious to do my shopping there. If I have a chance rather go to the Ipswich store they more welcoming and friendly at the check out.Really love to have a chat with the store manager but when I ask last time he wasn't available( sadly he had his break time).
