Turned up at just the right time for a walk-in table for two, generally though I'd strongly advise booking for Sunday lunch.Both decided on the roast, boyfriend had the lamb and I had the beef. We agreed they were probably the best Sunday lunches we'd ever had.Seriously! Meat was tender, Yorkshires were enormous, gravy was generous, roasties were crispy and the selection of mixed vegetables original.I decided to try the low-alchohol Adnam's wine which along with their huge selection of beers is locally produced. It was OK, a little sweet for my taste but at least I didn't waste the afternoon asleep in front of the telly*.*I did.

After my wife Jo Fuller left a scarf at this hotel and calling the hotel they were fantastic and posted it to us. Would like to say a big thank you to Dawn who was exceptionally helpful on the telephone and sending the scarf.Food & drinks: the bar and restaurant are well worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel.

For years we've enjoyed a coffee in the lounge here. That is until they revamped and 'walk ins' were not permitted. Thankfully they saw the error of their ways and allowed this again. We ordered coffee which arrived weak and tepid. We were not given a napkin and the coffee pot was extremely water stained. I wouldn't expect this in a high street cafe let alone The Swan. All in all a thoroughly disappointing experience and one we're unlikely to repeat in the future. You can do much much better than this.
