Nice little cafe but the prices cost an arm and a leg so I didn't actually buy much in the end. Nice spot though. Avoid when busy as staff can't seem to manage. That is all.

Delicious coffee and cake with lovely views from the pier. Great selection of cakes and generous portions!

Lovely cafe, great staff and wonderful views over the sea. Great range of cakes and good cappuccino

We used to enjoy a hot cuppa and a snack here. Our first visit this year will no doubt be our last ever, uninspiring interior and disjointed service from staff unable to cope with visitors in a school holiday week. The guy operating the coffee machine was keen to shout at people for leaning on the glass counter screen but could not use the till, the female operating the microwave had to keep breaking away from her tasks to help him. The £14.50 for a luke warm stodgy cheese pasty, hard bread bacon roll and a bottle of water didn't make the visit worthwhile....

Really lovely café and great selection of savoury and sweet. Had a fab sausage roll and cinammon bun... Highly recommend.

Insipid decaf coffee, not sure if it was just instant coffee, very expensive, will nor be returning

Extortionate prices!!!! Got charged £6 for a single Earl Grey Clipper teabag in a pot and 2x cups... Cheesecake was no cheaper either with it being nearly £5 for tiny slice. No service either, you bring the stuff to the table yourself so not sure why the prices were so high. Will not be coming back.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy view . Unfortunately spoilt by the weak , insipid overpriced coffee .
Cakes looked inviting but again bland .
My husband had no complaints about his sausage roll though .
Wasteful use of cardboard boxes.
Disappointed ??

Really nice sausage roll but terrible coffee

Our first trip to Southwold this year to find our old favourite the Clockhouse has had a re-fit. It's ok but I hope they didn't pay the painters too much...
Big problem for us is no gluten free food in here or the rest of the pier apparently. Even if they kept the everlasting prepacked flapjaks it would be something but nothing? Really?
I've given it 2 stars because of the staff being pleasant. Not sure about the open food display. That'll be interesting in the summer and the coffee that used to be really good is now a weak and insipid shadow of it's former self. Not great.
We were regular visitors throughout the year. We'll try it again next year.

Bought a hot brew and sausage roll, cheese and to tomato turnover, and a cheese scone. The food was good (a bit dry the scone), but the chutney was good ? Reasonable prices but worth it for the views outside

The food was ok a much needed cup of tea and brunch after a long ride. More Vegan options needed. Thank you Mr Croydon you made the visit very welcoming and friendly.

A massive disappointment! Disposable cups ? why? The scone was quite tasty (but none of the cakes were handmade, as promised!) but it was served (?) in a cardboard tray and how is anyone meant to spread butter with a horrid cardboard knife!!The prices were very high considering how basic the whole experience was!We used to come here for a fairly gentle and pleasant cup of tea but this was a most uncivilised experience. What on earth is the management thinking?!?Will never, never come back.

It was a dismal experience all round! It was all so tatty and drab . Tea and coffee served in cardboard cups and cakes in a horrid cardboard tray with wooden cutlery. There were dishwashers in the kitchen so why use disposable stuff which has to be thrown away.?!? Cakes and scones were very uninteresting despite the website saying there were all handmade (they weren?t!). Standards in the Clockhouse have reached an all time low! Don?t go. Everything on the pier these days is in desperate need of a lick of paint and a bit of love and attention to detail.

Not the cheapest and drinks and food served in paper cups but food and drink were great. A wee bit on the dear side to me. 3 hot drinks and 2 slices of cake were over £17!
