Popped in for a cheeky couple of pints whilst staying locally and was blown away by the quality and freshness of the cask beers and cider, which were also very reasonably priced.The pub was full of locals, so we squeezed into a corner with our dog and were made to feel very welcome by everyone. Wonderful pub, I enjoyed the night's special of Vegetable Chilli & Caramelised Leek Harissa. Perfect ale. I had a lovely night here chatting with everyone. I itially sat at the tables outside, then went indoors, which had a really good atmosphere. The location is incredible, too. Strongly recommended and hope to go again

From The Sweffling White Horse alehouse (no food)
A tiny, award-winning real ale pub. Very old fashioned - the way pubs used to be, with an ever-changing range of local ales, ciders and lagers from small breweries. No bar - drinks are served from a taproom door and ales are served straight from the cask via gravity. Wines, spirits and soft drinks are carefully chosen and are mostly locally made or organic. Traditional games including bar billiards. Just simple food - but customers are welcome to bring their own food to share. Beautiful outdoor courtyard with shelter & lighting. Parking is alongside the pub, double parking is encouraged, plus there is a field up the road for overflow parking
