I don't think I would go again as I just didn't feel really welcome. Food was okay but the atmosphere is lacking I've been a few times but think that's it for now

Just had the most delicious lunch in wonderful surroundings. Portions are generous and the food cooked to order, with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Just a shame we found this hidden gem at the end of our holiday and not the start, or I would be there every day! Great value for money

After seeing recommendations decided to visit and was extremely disappointed.
Drinks were served luke warm. Black pudding was undercooked as were some sausages, toast was so hard you couldn't get a fork in it or cut it with a knife. We mentioned the toast and sausages and were told "that is how they should be". Strange as some sausages were not pink!
Ice was broken out of the ice maker by a waitress which fell on the floor and then was put in customer's drinks.
Definitely would not visit again or recommend to others. Shame as I like to support local businesses.

Food was excellent!, let down by slow cooking,We'd both nearly drunk our tea coffee by time food turned up 20 minutes after ordering. There was 4 staff and the place was only half full plus price!!,£40 for full English and eggs hollinaise one tea and one coffee is extortionate.

We (two adults, both veggie) visited Juniper Barn this morning (a Sunday) for breakfast. We sat outside in the garden area in the sunshine - so peaceful and enjoyed watching the birds flitting about. We ordered a couple of teas, and the Turkish eggs and eggs hollandaise with added mushroom - both breakfasts were absolutely delicious, as indeed were our pots of tea! You could tell from the look and the taste that everything was made with fresh ingredients, although we didn't have to wait very long at all for our breakfasts to arrive. The portion sizes were generous and we felt very good value for money (we know of other similar barn-type cafes that would charge a lot more for something not as substantial). The young lady who served us (Rosie, I think) was incredibly polite and attentive throughout our visit, a real asset to the establishment.
We were seduced by the wonderful cakes on the counter on the way out, and purchased a slice of lemon & blueberry and raspberry & white chocolate to takeaway, which were then carefully boxed up for us to take home. We've just enjoyed the lemon & blueberry slice which was again incredibly delicious, and I could quite happily have demolished the whole cake! So beautifully light and moist, and again good value for money (in-keeping with other places that offer similar homemade cakes).
We'd have no hesitation in visiting again (despite it being a 35mins journey from where we live) and would also recommend to others. A really lovely find ?

Nice breakfast and I would come back. Chef always looks grumpy and the staff don't look very cheerful either. The chef must have shares in pea shoots as seem to have a packet on each plate of food.

Quiet village eatery. Food is amazing, not what you would expect to find tucked away. Chef knows his stuff & staff super friendly, especially if you have a dog. Will definitely be returning.
