Our design consultant, Nick never kept to his agreed appointment on Sunday, first saying they don?t do weekend appointments and Only video calls at weekends. We sat waiting for the video call, which never materialised. Poor experience At the Newmarket branch.We?ve had to ring Customer Service (Paul) Who has been very helpful and rearranged The appointment it to a different store.

Bless the two staff members who laughed at my joke (or was it) about the man who pushed in front of me. Genuinely lovely staff here.

Had a kitchen installed January 2023, and during a recent gas boiler service (October 2023), a gas leak was found. This was traced back to the kitchen installation, and the gas fitter said the connector to the cooker was poorly fitted. On contacting Wickes by email on 5th October, (cannot get an answer by phone), they said they would look into it. I have written several times since and nothing has been done. I checked the fitters report from January and neither the gas or the electrical work had been signed off. The Customer Service is awful.

I?ve used the store a few times for online orders always problem free. Saturday I went in to collect a small order for 3 items with my pin.It?s 30 minutes of my life lost, they handed me a third, then served someone else, scanners not working or asking for others to help who appeared upset to actually work.Sadly a draining experience

Used Wickes Newmarket for tiles for a couple of bathrooms. Really good selection of decent quality tiles. Bought the extra 10% allowance for each room and was able to take the unopened boxes back for a refund.Despite the tile refund period just expiring Kelly was super helpful and able to refund the samples and unused tiles. This took quite some time but she was very helpful explaining the process.Will use again.

Went in for a kitchen quote. Found them extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Have used them for other bits as well and never had an issue.

My husband brought some wood but had to cut a bit to get in car , so he brought his own saw , was told can?t cut in store so he went outside then told couldn?t cut near there stock , so much for decent customer care , staff are always rude in there haven?t got a clue about products they sell , definitely won?t be shopping there again , will stick to Ridgeons !!!!

Had to go further than we thought to obtain the blocks we required but had been advised to collect from wicks in Newmarket. We had fortunately ordered from a different branch who did not have enough stock. This caused a bit of extra difficulty for us.

Dreadful store, the staff are rude and have zero knowledge about the products they?re supposed to be selling. Really unhelpful, rude, disinterested staff. Avoid like the plague.

Kitchen installation. Lovely people but way too busy to care. Designs didn't fit, needed last minute scramble for extra bits. Worktop unsuitable and no suitable alternative available. I ended up driving to Magnet to buy worktops. Mistakes made during the installation ('after this week we're off') so we were under pressure and made bad decisions. No support from design team during the installation ('he's back tomorrow' or 'he's got appointments all day' and - amazingly - 'don't worry'). Ended up with a kitchen we're not happy with and 3 months later we have a workman in (at our expense) to correct mistakes and finish off the bits they were too busy to finish. Two stars not one because the workmanship that was done was good. We just needed another week. PS Zanussi make cheap tat - Wickes should be ashamed to offer it.

First order only 18 of the 30 fence post spikes turned up. Second order didn't turn up at all. I had to wait a week for it to be re-ordered, putting it my project on hold for a week. If you call them up they are all saying different things. Doing a big-ish order online it kept on telling me they had sold out of everything on the order which wasn't actually the case, so I had to order things one by one. Everything from the website to the phone service to the delivery went wrong.
