My wife and I went for lunch, thinking it would be an easy meal. We've always had slow service at this branch in Newmarket, but being our closest branch we thought we would come here to use our Tesco vouchers that were due to expire (what a mistake this was). First waitress sat us down, and the first thing I mentioned was we have Tesco vouchers is that ok, her response "yes of course no problem". We then saw the offer of 3 course for £24.95 and asked the waitress if this is okay, she informed us this is totally fine, and she also went on to mention, without us asking, that we could also get a classic pizza and a drink for £12, and we should also download the app to get further offers which we did. The waitresses must have been had a shift change, so a 2nd waitress took over, after slow service we had to go and wait at the til for 10 minutes to pay the bill to find out, after ordering more than we really wanted, that we couldn't use any of these offers with Tesco vouchers. I know it's not going to break the bank, but it's the principal we were told one thing by one of the waitresses to then find out we we were misinformed and ended up paying a lot more than we thought for a quick and easy lunch. The reason for this review is because we have always had terrible service for different reasons but we always end up going back, and we have decided now, no more!

Kid-friendliness: Excellent service, friendly staff who were efficient despite an extremely busy and loud restaurant. Although my food wasn't the best, my family enjoyed theirs and we were so impressed with the staff.

It's been 4-5 years from when every weeks we getting pizza from pizza express and i don't know what wrong if something has changed but the pizza test and looks always different, always we miss the garlic butter dip or something else. Hopefully they will do something about that costumers are not happy at all with this restaurant.

Usually I refrain from writing Google reviews for companies, however after my experience at Pizza Express Newmarket I will have to make an exception. The restaurant was as expected of such a chain, the food alright, mostly clean, etc. The big difference with this particular place that drives me to write this review was our waiter, Colin. He gave us impeccable service the whole night, such service that would not be out of place in a Michelin star restaurant. We truly felt like it was important to Colin for our dining experience to be enjoyable in every way possible. Never would I think to get service like this at a chain restaurant. He made our night and we will definitely be coming back during another of his shifts.

Had a team meeting and all of us have been at
some point served by Colin. All of us (there were 9) had positive things to say, again, he connected with us made us laugh and was genuinely great and a joy. Colin as it turns out we all love you collectively , we found out we have shared memories, you've served us all separately so over time you've excelled with equal joy. Thank you and keep up the good work we need more people like you!

We took our two young children for dinner this evening. As per many other reviews, Colin was the main attraction and absolutely deserves head office recognition for his dedication to above-and-beyond service and making Unicorn gelato. What a guy. The experience was slightly let down by my Pollo Ad Astra Romana pizza, which was inexplicably sparsely topped and had very little cheese on it. It was essentially a £16 piece of very thin toast with 4 pieces of dry chicken on. I felt too awkward to complain and ruin the mood given Colin was in such good spirits, but it put a bit of a damper on an otherwise nice meal...

How is this okay to send this out for delivery!??! Absolute joke paying 40 pound for 2 pizzas and have this!!! Pizza is suppose to be crispy and is falling apart!! Disgraceful!!
