Absolutely awful customer service in Newmarket branch from a staff member on the tills at lunchtime today and they weren?t even busy and believe me it?s not the first time I have felt like this ?. Not sure why some of these staff members behave the way they do, they look down there noses like they?re better than others , I?ve had enough and will not shop in store again

The cashier was not allowing me into the store at 5:28 the closing time is 5:30, I just came to grab a pack of nappies and wipes. Not a great experience getting told we are closed early.

I had a Electronic Priscription from my Dentist l went in to Boots on the High Street Newmarket.
l was told no we don't take Electrinic Priscriptions and we need it signed it was all signed from the Dentist and the address l was told they wouldn't except it.I was asked to go back and get a paper copy the Receptionist rang from the Dentist as l was told it was discontinued so the Receptionist rang and asked if they had another product the pharmacy man said yes all in stock and it will be ready to collect the Dentist gave me another prescription to give the pharmacy.
I went in and was told it would be a 15min wait l said but you had told the dentist Receptionist it was ready to collect no no he said l never said that. So l waited then infront of me was a Member of staff getting her prescription l said couldn't she of got that in her own time she said she was just going of duty funny that she was on the tills when l went out. Rude sales people can do with good staff training on how to speak to people.
As for the man on the pharmacy calling me a liar Short man with glasses you need retraining.The tall chap on the pharmasy l was told you were a locum you had more empathy.The woman on there rude smile that would help. Shambles of a place Rude Staff and Pharmacy .You all need to make people want to shop at the store bye won't be back.I looked and yes you do take Electronic Priscriptions it's on the Website complete Shambles.You don't even deserve star rating.And no you didn't offer a good level of service at all.Staff need to smile more they all look miserable.. I have allready spoken to Head Office the next day.Also the Manager of the store.And no the level of Service was disgusting in the Newmarket Branch.

What is it about this place? Drains the joy out of me every time. Unhelpful staff that act like they?re doing you a favour by allowing you in the door to buy things. Next time I?m walking a bit further to go to the (several) pharmacies in the Guineas.

Boots in newmarket is a nice store all the staff look good in there uniforms but the manager needs to sort her clothing out as she wears jeans she should have a uniform also

Katey was really helpful and professional and patient. The store is clean and easy to get around with a pushchair however think the tills could be better placed. Not only for customers but for staffs benefit too

How one member of staff at Boots Newmarket can take away the well mannered staff that are usually there! I go to Boots pharmacy every Tuesday to pick up controlled tablets that I use. I am disabled and a pensioner, so always check prior to leaving home. I did so this morning 2nd May 2023. My tablets were not there, it is now 2.25 pm, my Doctors surgery has signed off on them, but I am still waiting for a call. Its costs me £5.20 each way as I have a foot full of metal and use a stick. The usual pharmacy staff were not there today and the pharmacy assistant, 1. said when I rang this morning, 'you need to be patient it was a bank holiday the doctors were off for 2 days LOVE'.!!!!! Hello I know that but she dismissed me. I went into the store to ask if there had been any movement, around midday, the same assistant were abrupt, rude and dismissive and the answer was NO! I am leaving my name so I am going to use hers its Natalie. The normal staff there are lovely, accommodating, helpful have even brought my medications to me. What an absolute shame that one individual can take away all the credit that such a devoted staff at Boots in Newmarket normally display, even when there are run off their feet and have staff shortages. Shame!

Diabolical "can't do", "won't do" attitude. Miserable guts on the till who has zero customer service skills. Basics of customer service. I went to a rival pharmacy the same day where staff were friendly and helpful AND had my prescription in stock. Boots Newmarket is complacent and has a real problem in its pharmacy. Won't be going there again.

The pharmacist was amazing, asked me questions on new medication and said someone will call after a week to make sure I am ok. Wonderful service.
