We didn't stay here, only ate and drank. Everything about this place was exceptional. It has a lovely cozy vibe, that you feel upon walking in. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The waitresses were tentative and helpful. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. The suffolk smoky starter was incredible. The sirloin steak was perfect. The onion rings were beautiful, as were the chips, mushrooms, tomato and salad, with its dressing. And finally, the cocktails, they were the best things we'd ever tasted. It was well worth every single penny coming here and we will definitely be back again soon. Thank you.

This was our first trip to this pub and last. The food was absolutely awful. Our mushroom starters were raw and not as described on the menu. Three Tesco closed cup mushrooms are not field mushrooms! As for the main course?.£32 for a mixed grill which was piled onto a normal size dinner plate and steaks cooked rare when asked for medium. The vegetables served with one of main course were odd to say the least?possibly frozen and mushed together in a timbal?not good. The desserts were the saving grace but I wouldn?t say they were freshly made.On another note, the pub itself and staff were ok but the toilets were absolutely disgusting and stunk. We won?t be back.

Lovely atmospheric pub. The staff were very tentative and happy. As for the food... not so positive. Fish and chips I would give 2 out of 5.Soggy greasy batter on fish. Dry oven baked chips which were flavourless. No salad or peas offered if you don't like mushy peas. Disappointing meal for the ££unfortunately ?

2 stars for food. Beef over cooked and roast potatoes pre cooked then warmed. Strange chewy texture. 1 star is for the shared brain capacity of the staff. Need a lesson in elf and safety. Refused to warm a small pot of veg for my 10month old son due to elf and safely. Then they bring out a low sided bowl of what looked like just boiled water and placed it down with in arms reach of him. I thought it was some sort of sick joke. Well done, you played yourself

Visited this lovely pub for Sunday Lunch and we had an exceptional experience of home cooked food.A selection of freshly cooked vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, meat as served in a carvery and Sarah's home cooked Yorkshire puddings which rose to the occasion.Plenty of delicious gravy not too thick. Homemade sticky toffee pudding excellent. All reasonable priced. All staff gave 110 persent. Thourghly recommended, we are looking forward to a return visit.

My partner and I went to The Four Horseshoes for our Valentine's Day meal back in February and the service and food was 10/10. Very friendly front of house staff greeted us with a warm welcome and wished us a happy valentine's day, we were seated next to a cosy fire which set the theme perfectly. Our Valentines Day menu was a full variety of popular courses to choose from. The chefs special choices were superb.Very friendly pub and staff. 5 stars

We found this place after exploring Thornham Walks (a 4 min drive away). This is a rather large pub with plenty of seating inside and as we discovered, also offers rooms. We stopped for a bite to eat and were surprised how busy it was for during the week & outside the school holidays - must be testament to how good the place is! We had a little wait for food which wasn't an issue - gave me a chance to feed my daughter so I could enjoy mine when it arrived! Menu choices is vast and portions are good - and best of all it was very reasonably priced for a rural pub. Will definitely stop by again and will take a photo of the outside next time! It's beautiful!!!

A Very good pub with accommodation if required and very good food.Food & drinks: I had a fabulous meal at the horseshoes last night (Salmon with asparagus and other mixed vegetables) the service was excellent, on arrival I was greater at the door with a lovely smile from Kiera which got the evening off to good start , Kiera is a great ambassador for the Horshoes and popular with most of the customers as are all the staff, A great evening many thanks to everyone at the four Horshoes.

Visited this lovely pub on Tuesday and was absolutely delighted with my experience. Service was fast, lighthearted and friendly and the meal its self was absolutely delicious. The building itself is also stunning! Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area.
