Great shop, now larger and a wider stock - friendly staff. Car park is shared and can be a squeeze.

The worst m&s I have ever been to the service was appalling the staff was extremely rude I expect it to be busy two days before Christmas but there was no organisation at all

Potentially the worst M&S cafe I?ve sat in.90% of the food advertised not available.Cafe itself is freezing cold. Cutlery was filthy. Not exclusive to this particular M&S cafe, but the prices have gone ridiculous. A child?s ham sandwich, about the size of a cupcake, costing £3. Normal sandwiches/toasties costing around £6. Daylight robbery.Stale jacket potatoes, drier than the Sahara desert with a choice of beans or cheese as a topping. Charged at a premium price.

DisgustedVisited the M&S Martlesham food store, 20 Nov, early afternoon. My wife found the women?s wc dirty. We had lunch in the cafe. We were told that only paper plates and cups were available (no explanation, which post wc experienced as below, I now see why) which I said was fine.Subsequently I visited the men?s wc - one cubicle dirty & unflushed, wouldn?t flush. I used second cubicle wouldn?t flush.Went to wash hands - soaped hands to find barely a trickle of water - had to wipe off on paper towel.I left wcs to find a staff member. Three male staff members who appeared to be doing little were standing around the self check area.I told one that I was disgusted to find the wcs were not working with no warning or signage or closure and wanted to see a manager. At first I was told that there was no water but ?it was just recent?.I said I don?t know what their definition of ?recent? is, as we had been in store for some 45 minutes - so why can?t you simply put up a sign to prevent customers finding out for themselves with no warning? The response was ?Fair enough?. ?Anglian water have been called ? then they wandered off. No managed appeared and I left the store.I wonder how the lack of water impacts the hygiene of a food store ?I phoned a complaint the following morning. I was given a complaint reference 2040954.I was told that this complaint would be passed to both the store manager and head office. After 9 days and not even an acknowledgment I phoned head office.?Customer service? told me that I had to ?visit the store to ask for feedback? !!!I said that was simply not good enough and wanted to speak to a manager.I asked if ?customer service? actually wanted to do anything or simply (once again) cannot be bothered and wanted me to pass on my experiences both with the store and of ?customer service? elsewhere - and was ?put on hold? for a second extended period. After my total call duration exceeded 22 minutes I gave up.I have had no further contact from m&s, no email, no call, nothing. In years to-date I have always had good experiences of M&S.In my view therefore, ?customer service? and indeed just some basic management must now have just descended to the depths. The ?customer service? would appear to be non-existent and where basic hygiene is at threat I consider serious. If it wasn?t serious it would be laughable. In these trying retail times, I would have thought organisations would be interested in customers.6/12/23 received email from ?M&S service team? basically apologising for my frustration but then saying that their role is to log & pass on the complaint, so I should go to the store to ask for the manager.(Needless to say I won?t be making any such trip and in any event that would presumably be to see the manager that I previously had asked to speak to,at the time, with no appearance ?!!)It just gets worse really.Received further emails, that made things worse including a claim 9/12/23 that they didn?t know the water was off (which is clearly contradicted by the occurrences noted) and then one to say 10/12/24 that they won?t be corresponding further. (Despite previously saying that the store was investigating and would give feedback ?)11/13/23 another email received.Told that both the café & management did know the water was off. (But as no connection made between water off & no flushing toilets or handbasins - so no signs & wcs deteriorate in the meantime as customers use wcs & discover for themselves that they don?t operate.)If that?s the state of management I?ll avoid the place.

M&S Martlesham has been my regular shop for some years now, always good range of quality food and friendly, helpful staff but in the last few months it has been going downhill. The staff are always under pressure to do more than one job at a time, there are always fridges out of order and empty shelves or stock almost out of date. In addition the ladies toilets are invariably out of order. Please get back to being my favourite shop !

Not happy with our experience in the cafe.Asked for tap water and told to get some from the stand by the till. I poured some water to find it filled with bits and warm. I asked for some water from staff at the till, the girl then filled a glass at the 'hand washing only' tap.My partner finally went to buy me some bottled water, and the same girl gave him in a dirty glass covered in lipstick. We won't be going back.Sort it out M&S, your cafes are usually better than this.

Good choice of cakes and food all labelled for diet and allergy needs. Tables clean staff helpful and pleasant. We noticed member of staff happened to blow their nose. We were so impressed that they immediately sanitised their hands before touching tap and washing their hands.

This is becoming an increasingly stressful place to visit. Service in the cafe is often appalling, even when the place is empty you can wait 10 minutes. They often have no white bread, even though the shop sells it. The toilets are dingy and often dirty. The entrance has been turned into an exit, forcing those wanting to use the loo or cafe to walk the whole way round. The self-service tills are very user-hostile. The general arrangement of the shop feels more downmarket. Just to get in annd out of the estate is a trial, and now 6 months of roadworks have been added. It was good. It's bad.

Very busy but great products, if a little pricey.

Decided to give the cafe a try at Martlesham Food Hall , a stack of dirty trays was the first problem, tea, coffee, food was found on the whole stack , I decided to clean one myself and then the cutlery and bite my lip.An engineer was working on equipment behind the counter during the time I waited for my drinks and cake not in gloves or other hygiene kit.I took my food and drinks to a table covered liquid and crumbs looked for another but they were all in pretty much the same condition, once again forced to clean on behalf of M&S.Have we learnt nothing from the pandemic? basic food hygiene procedures ,stopping cross contamination should be a top your priorities and it definitely wasn?t today.Won?t be back!Phoned customer complaints and patronised by call centre worker (Miriam) who kept saying what ah what a shame and laughing, had to force her to take my details , absolute joke.

Oh my goodness, where does one start. I thought I'd pay this place a visit as it was scorching hot and needed refreshments. My companion zaviour and I thought we'd have a cheese scone. Uh no way! An army of flies were swirling around making a beeline toward the one I had my eye on. Zaviour had the smoothie, which looked like carrot water. I had the frappe. It tasted like something that rhymes with it. Chairs were a little dirty also. Our first and last visit,I'm afraid. Zaviour is still getting over the smoothie.

Wasn't impressed with the cake either. Doubt we will return

The staff in the morning are very friendly and helpful. I had a coffee and use my laptop in the coffee for a round one and half hour. Then a lady staff came and asked me to order new drinks or I cannot use my laptop here. At that time, the cafe was not very full so I insisted to stay another 20 mins. I felt this staff is very rude and this requirement is ridiculous.
