Staff appeared confused on arrival
Waitress dropped our drinks
Ordered shell on prawns - no finger bowl to clean hands
One of my group ordered medium steak but got well done, sent back but was encouraged to eat something she hadn?t ordered. Ordered ploughman?s as replacement meal - this had long black hair in it.
No steak knives provided until asked - then got 2.
The food I ordered was ok - didn?t leave hungry
Too many tables/customers - not enough staff to cope.
Would I go again - No

I first ordered the flat iron stake which I asked to be done med/rare but it came out dry and rubbery, I was told that if I had them do another one it would come out the same so I could have that one and they wouldn?t charge me or I could have something else so I asked for a ploughmen, when it came I was eating it when I notice a long black hair under some salami now I know its not mine has I have short blonde/grey hair. They didn?t charge me for it but I will not be going back again

After meeting with friends to celebrate a birthday, we sat eagerly waiting to be served. Shortage of staff meant a long wait. We ordered our drinks, which arrived quite swiftly. Our order for food was taken about 10 minutes later. Our food arrived eventually, but after a 20 minute delay, we were all getting hungry. Apologies were given by the server, and we did notice a 'Staff Wanted' poster as we entered, so accepted this was the problem.
Our food arrived. All of us agreed that it was well presented, but my chicken was very dry, and the coating which should have been soft, was very hard and crunchy. My green beans were too undercooked for my taste, and very few potatoes were arranged around the plate. All in all, not particularly enjoyable gor around £20.
We did not order pudding, only coffee.
The place looks fresh and modern, but is lacking in atmosphere. I'm sure it will get better, but the menu should include a few more dishes that are traditionally British.
Would be a nice venue for wedding reception though especially if they made outside prettier..maybe a solar water feature would be lovely!
I will go again..but not the best meal I have eaten.

Visited for a meal with friends, absolutely blown away. Firstly the place looks fantastic. Great job on the refurbishment. Staff were friendly, extremely helpful and very attentive. Food 10/10 outstanding starters, which were full of flavour and perfectly presented. The main meal was just as delicious. The desserts were so delicious, the diet was put on hold. Thank you for an amazing service. Will definitely be back.

I had the starter of mussels yesterday and it was amazing presented to a high standard and tasted Devine !the fish was delicious and again desert was Presented and tasted outstanding.Would definitely recommend and return to the restaurant I wish you all the best !it?s nice to see a friendly team who work to a high standard .I will be spreading the word and 100percent return .

Recently re-opened, the layout of the pub looks similar to previous, but everything has been tidied up and freshened up.
The pub was looking tired when it closed under previous management, and the food offerings were not good at that point.
Even though I didn't eat there when I visited, lots of people were having the food and it all looked very good and people seemed to be enjoying their meals.
The pub is modern, clean and tidy and is a nice place to spend the evening, and it is good for families with a nice outside area and play area for younger children.
The garden has a nice fountain with a water feature which makes sitting outside on warmer days / evenings very pleasant.
The staff are friendly and service is fast.

Fabulous meal here tonight. As expected we knew it would be busy, but there was plenty of well trained, friendly staff to hold it all together.All the food we chose was delicious. It has been beautifully refurbished and it was a pleasure to dine there. Congratulations! All the best for the future.
