Great pub. Traditional atmosphere and really lovely people. The food is different each week... so it's difficult to rate. So far I've had pizza, burger & Indian. The pizza & burger were exceptional; the Indian not so good.

Beautiful timber framed country pub with live bands frequenting their gorgeous gardens. Theres a huge choice of local cider and beer. A variety of food trucks regularly visit. You really feel at ease in this pub, everyone is so welcoming and chatty, theres a huge sense of community spirit, the locals reopened it and all help to look after and run it, plus its super dog friendly and theres even a pool table.. big bonus!

This is a community run pub and my first visit. Very reasonable prices, the interior is lovely and atmosphere welcoming. I believe it is only open from Friday to Sunday, but you would need to check.

A wonderful community run pub. Passed it regularly for 10 years & never thought it would reopen. Now when I pass it see it open, it is a wonderful sight, full of customers & volunteers. I did volunteer here for the short term, until work gradually picked up, and as of last week, still a wonderful friendly & active pub. Well worth supporting

Community run pub, which gives it a wonderful atmosphere. Good local beers on rotation and a variety of food vans on certain nights. Would highly recommend!!Parking: Main car park up the slope round the back. Ample space to drop people with limited mobility at the front or back door.

Went in for social drinks, I was visiting friends in the area, first time I'd been in,it was a friendly good old school pub,no TV on,quiet music, and all you could hear was conversations from different groups of people in the pub,we need more pubs like this, I didn't have food as it was the evening, there was a Thai/Chinese food trailer in the car park, was very popular with the locals,I wasn't hungry so didn't try it,but from looking at what people bought it looked nice ,and plenty regulars bought meals,so I'm guessing it's nice food,if your in the area it's a must to pop inParking: Parking at front is possible, limited spaces, but to the rear of the pub there is a massive car park and a beer garden for those hot summer nightsKid-friendliness: Children are more than welcomeWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is available via the front entrance, none from the rear of the pub

This in my opinion is one of the very best community pubs I have ever visited and always go back when visiting family in nearby Diss. Very friendly staff, very reasonable prices and always keeps good beer and ciders. Although no daily menu is available (no on site catering) food is often available on selected published evenings (off-site caterers attend) and a lovely Sunday lunch is also available on selected dates through the year (again off-site caterers) This pub has an excellent atmosphere, and is very often busy when they have a "theme" night or at Christmastime - we love it. Check out their face book page for information on events and what beers they have on tap - which is ever changing as they are a free house.

Lovely ambiance, 3 drinks 2 alcoholic for just over a tenner. Serves food generally on a Saturday but we did not partake today.
