The lady who deals with the customers queuing up for Pokémon on release days is wonderful she goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly and fairly, even coming in early on her day off to manage expectations when they only had 14 items delivered and she knew people would be waiting for more than an hour. As grandparents queuing for our grandson we sadly missed getting one being 18th in the queue, but we're so grateful not to be left waiting over an hour and then disappointed. Thank you again lovely lady.

Lovely shop and great selection of books but I am giving a low rating because of all the toys in-store. My children got book tokens as a gift and all they wanted to buy were toys, a parent doesn't want an argument with two young kids in a shop so I let them spend it on toys. Very disappointing though, how do you encourage children to read with loads of toys in-store? wish Waterstones would do away with them completely! Won't bother buying their book tokens for any children.

My husband loves Waterstones as he knows he can get most books he wishes to purchase and he believes it keeps the staff in a job I think he is right.

Although a much smaller Waterstones than many of the others, the shop is well stocked with both current bestsellers and classics. The staff are always knowledgeable and friendly, and eager to help if you're looking for something that isn't in stock. Great to see pre-orders advertised outside the store, and local authors regularly featured
