Shame there isnt an option for zero stars! Staff were rude, food was awful and service was poor. They claim its a family friendly pub.....nothing 'friendly' about it. Will not be returning.

We arrived at 11.50, we were told that food was being served from 12.00, we placed our order and sat in the beer garden, as we were obviously the first to order food that day we were very surprised that our food didn?t arrive until 12.40!
The actual food was good, however, as we had sat in the garden we had to use tiny wooden knives and forks which were useless, and the food was served in what only can be described as dog bowls! A full English breakfast in a tiny cardboard bowl eaten with wooden utensils is really rather disappointing!

Visited this pub yesterday as a large family party, the children?s meals were awful jet black burger like charcoal rock hard couldn?t eat, the chicken nuggets were so overdone again rock hard unable to eat, the adult meals were ok but nothing to shout about, we politely mentioned our concerns when we went back in to just be told ok I will pass that ok! We spent a lot of money and left with very hungry children, wouldn?t go again and wouldn?t recommend

The jolly sailors had shut at 21.30 so ended up here. Much more atmospheric, and a proper pub rather than restaurant

Stopped off for an early breakfast as I wasn?t disappointed. Very warm welcome from the Landlady who made a fuss of my Spaniel. Outstanding English breakfast with a good cup of tea, what could be better. I will return with the missus who was miffed that I had breakfast at this superb pub. A real asset to the area , we are blessed to have ?proper? pubs like this to visit. Give them your support.

We had a lovely home cooked breakfast here this morning including one vegetarian which is to be recommended.
The first day of the First Light Festival and a few extra people in but they were welcomed and tables moved and made available to accommodate them by the friendly staff.

Rude staff and abusive landlords, Nobody else in the pub at 3 in the Afternoon on a sunny Saturday. Owners behaviour was appalling and upsetting for the children there. Avoid at all costs.

Just come home from a Father's Day Sunday roast and can honestly say it was the best homecooked roast dinner we've had anywhere. MASSIVE yorkies and so much food! Will absolutely be back soon.

having spent £80.00 + for at least 3 rounds, celebrating a young football team, no chef, hungry lads, so went to local chippy. fair enough we shouldn't have eaten in the garden (no other customers) but instead of asking the kids to move outside onto the green to eat, the landlord came in all guns blazing "you're all breaking the law! you're all barred !" he is a local joke no self respecting Pakefield person would ever drink in his pub, such a shame he is the a*****le he his
