Visited today to apply for daughters first passport. The website said to drop in. On arrival was told I had to book an appointment, and they can't do passports on a Saturday. This was not mentioned on the website anywhere. Walked out and went to Yarmouth who did it straight away and said there was no need for appointments.

I don't often comment, but really felt the lady who works in the Lowestoft post office, in wh smiths, needs a mention, on several occasions, she has really gone above and beyond to help, completely unflusterd, even when we are all flustered, so efficient and helpful, she really does a great job, so wish I'd looked at her name badge, lovely lady, really deserves the credit!!!

I have had great service from this post office, until recently.I was trying to send a form to the DVLA and had a query about it. To my amazement the staff member informed me that since becoming a part of WH Smith, they are no longer able to give advice regarding DVLA forms. I am not at all happy about this situation, but do realise that the staff are only following guidelines. I was told that to get FULL post office service I would have to travel to Bungay! Is there no end to the madness that has crept into our world...................

No sense of urgency when dealing with queues, staff seem to wonder off to do other things and leave the people in the queue looking at each other in amazement, yesterday the only person serving was the man behind the travel desk while another staff member had gone out the back and one was folding sacks.?

Service at this Post Office is quick, friendly & professional. Uncirculated coins/packs from the Royal Mint are on sale. There is a money exchange area which doubles as another Post Office counter when busy. There is usually a staff member available to assist with enquiries, self service, less able customers etc.I think overall the service has improved since the Post Office relocated into W. H. Smith.

Located inside W.H. Smith. Offers usual post offices services and a wide range of post and packaging products. Has a separate currency exchange and business counter. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. Service is always quick.
