Superb service and tasty and modestly priced food from a varied menu. Food served hot and very well presented. There are various seating areas available for eating, including an outside terrace plus a beer garden. The most welcoming service, spotless toilets and parking outside or just at the rear in a public car park. Look no further for eating out in Long Melford.

Really nice pub with a good vibe. Food is excellent as iare the staff. Beer garden is pleasant and definitely one to visit on a hot day. Highly recommended.

Had lovely lunch today at The Swan
Steak was cooked perfect for me ( medium/rare)
Wife had chicken burger which she said was very good
Desserts were excellent
Good size portions.

Stayed one night in lovely room with period features at a very reasonable price. Came back for Sunday lunch with family - one of the best roast lunches I have had in a pub and again reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff, well kept beer and great location in the middle of beautiful Long Melford. Recommended.

Stayed a night, lovely old beams in the room. Boutique hotel feel to the dining space. Spotlessly clean everywhere, young staff very efficient. Bar billiards too!!!
Easter Sunday lunch roast was reasonably priced, vibrant, fresh and quality. We had beef, pork and I had the veggie wellington ( with pigs in blankets because I am not actually vegetarian!)
Parsnips, carrots and red cabbage were lovely. Yorkshire pudding lovely. Roast potatoes crispy and properly roasted. Brilliant! The extra cauliflower cheese was massive and crispy on top ?.
MIL gave extra marks for your own gravy in a jug.
Jam roll poly was a smidgen light on the jam... a small critique.... will return.
