Decided to have a last minute pub grub date night last Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service here.
The pub looks a little weathered from the outside but has a lovely old-fashioned pub feel inside; historic and commemorative photos on the walls - a great 'old school's pub
We missed the Sunday roast option because of the time we were eating but the menu selection did not disappoint.
Food was hot, well presented and a more then generous portion, not to mention delicious. Took a little while to be served but was worth the wait for sure.
Dessert options were plentiful and again - yummy!
Service was polite and professional - we will definitely go back!

We absolutely love The Vulcan. We went on recommendation and were not disappointed. We've been regulars on a Saturday night for the superb carvery dinner. Superb and staff are so friendly.
Well worth the drive from Ipswich to Sizewell.

Five family members we always come here for our Birthday treat of the Saturday evening carvery it?s just like you would have at home but better . We often see the same people returning each time which tells you how lovely it is x

This is a cozy warm pub. It serves excellent, tasty food in ample potions. The staff are very friendly with a dry humour. The toilets are spotless. We will definitely visit again in May 2025

Wonderful carvery best one we have ever had. Limited non alcoholic drinks available. Very dog friendly. Old fashion decor but ok.
