We stayed near here for a week. This pub was in walking distance and was highly recommended. The landlord was very friendly. My husband loved the beer. We went for a family evening meal, which was ok. The portions are huge and of good quality. Although I don't think the pizza was homemade, it was awful, but we had a nice evening.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at The Theberton Lion! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was genuinely great?attentive without being intrusive. The food was really good, and we were especially impressed by the vegan options, which isn?t always easy to find. Overall, a lovely experience?we?ll definitely be back!

Fantastic pub. Very welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating landlord. Excellent beer selection and all kept very well. Absolutely spot on all round.

Excellent pub...very friendly owners, staff and fellow customers. Lovely atmosphere and great choice of beers and excellent food. The dogs were made very welcome and even a bowl found for one to have his beer in? Very highly recommended, we will definitely be returning. Thank you.

We arrived at 18.30 on a cold evening in March to a warm welcome by landlord/ owner Tom. Log burner on,
customers and Tom smiling a greeting. Perfect dinner provided with a sensibly priced bottle of house red wine and excellent beers. Lovely evening. Support local pubs: well, it's a good excuse to go there!

Pub was quiet, but couldn't accommodate us for food for over 1 hour! There were only 2 tables marked as reserved.
And as the landlord has replied I will add - service starts as soon as a person enters the door. Wife and daughter said they thought we were invisible to the lady working the bar.

We visited twice over the weekend and have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Tom and staff were great company, also the customers which made it a great evening each time. The food was also very good.. we thoroughly recommend this place for food, drink and atmosphere. Also, sorry to everyone if our enjoyment was a tad loud..

This is a great little pub. Very welcoming, it feels like a real old style local. Lovely choice of real ales, comfortable and friendly. Food a bit hit and miss, excellent meal one night, pretty average pub food the next. I'll definitely be popping in the next time I'm in the area.
