Terrible service - bar staff missed a meal off the order (ok we all make mistakes but there were only 5 of us) but then no apology and told the only way to get the missing meal was to queue again at the bar and order. This spoilt everyone?s meal and we didn?t bother .

Both my son and I ended up with a stomach upset after lunch there.

Had catch of the day. Consisted of undercooked cod in a thin oily indestable batter ,frozen reheated chips and obviously tinned peas. Staff not interested when I complained. £17 a person. Disappointing.

A must-visit!
Stopped by The Shipwreck for lunch and was blown away by the fish and chips ? fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The portions were generous, and the chips were golden and fluffy. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the pub has a lovely relaxed vibe. Great food, great service, and a perfect spot by the sea. Highly recommend!

Fish was undercooked, oily and tasteless.
Very poor value for £17!
Disappointing!

If I could give 0 for service I would. Staff were too busy arguing to get our order right, despite us repeating it twice. Were blunt and rude to everyone in the vicinity.

We was surprisingly impressed with the Shipwreck, food was good Service was great. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait long to be served or for our food. Free parking if u spend over £2 too ?

SCAM parking charges. I have been visiting this pub for years and the car park has always been free. I stopped on the way back from Ipswich in December 24 and the pub was closed, so I just went for a walk around the marina. Now I have received a demand for £160 because they changed to pay and display at the start of September 24. I explained that it was an honest error but they don't care. I would 100% AVOID this place unless you want to be ripped off.

We visited today for lunch and had the worst experience ever in a restaurant. We ordered a sharing loaded chips which was on the menu as loaded chunky chips with sausage bacon and cheese. At £14.50 we expected a decent sized plate with probably a x2 sausages and x2 bacon chopped up with loads of melted cheese. What we received was a plate of chips with about 1/2 sausage finely chopped , a few tiny bits of bacon and a thin layer of cheese. It was about enough for 1 person and worth about £6. Without touching it I took back to bar and the manager came out who was the rudest and most confrontational person with absolutely no people skills. Would not recognise my complaint, said I?ve got what I ordered didn?t want to do anything to resolve the issue. Didn?t offer to add any extra food, didn?t apologise, didn?t offer a refund or an alternative. I was so angry I told him to keep his money and keep his food.
Never been so angry.
If you?re thinking of going here, don?t!!!

Lovely place for a drink , well placed by the river at Shotley, looking over to Harwich and Felixstowe. You can spend ages just looking at the view.
We went on the Harwich to Shotley foot ferry and had a nice walk and then a drink in the Shipwreck.
Lots of space for outdoor dining and loads of room inside. We didn't eat, but there is lots of choice.Great car parking .

Fantastic pub right on the quay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was served quickly and was great quality.

Great service, price point to be expected for location, just a pity that the thin brown bread served with the meal was likely Asda own brand brown bread instead of something from a local bakery or a nice thicker cut. Hot chocolate was watery to the taste and not pleasant.
Pleasant place to eat with interesting views of the shipping and local marina.
