I no longer feel like the store draws you in. Instead the entrance is obscured by shelving and creates a barrier to shopping. Forcing you to walk around a maze of shelving instead of being able to see the ground floor

This isn't my favourite shop but it does offer some good value options for things if you need them. This one i found good mainly due to the staff and their help when needed

I purchased the display model of a discontinued product. The staff helped disassemble it and carried parts to the car. All of this was done quickly and efficiently. Amazing customer service, I will be back.

It's an everything for everyone shop, with a lack of defined character. Very hard to navigate and imposed controls on movement in and out of the shop feel dictating and oppressive. Hate to think of how these areas operate if there was an emergency. Not disabled friendly given random goods piled up in areas and varying widths of aisles. No clear logic to the location of specific products, but might be the point to make you wander the whole place. A little souless, but in the end serves a need.

What have they done to this store? It used to be a pleasure to shop here. Nicely laid out and plenty of space. Now it's a mess. The lovely arts and crafts section has been relegated to the back and they've tried to cram an Iceland store in as well. What was once a nice shopping experience is now a terrible mismatch of jumbled items. We will avoid in future.
Today, 22/02/25 we were in the store and it's even worse. Aisles filled with boxes to be put away; only one person on the tills (huge queue) and generally a totally disorganised mess.

Went into the range the other day to 2 amazing workers on the till. Massive queue of people and they were working so hard. The young chap was so polite helping me with me click and collect and I believe the lady was still in training but still smashed it!
However while there was a massive queue of people 4 manager staff members just stood and WATCHED their staff members on the team struggle. They stood there talking near the entrance. I approached the lady with blonde hair and she said she had called someone to help? my question is, why wasn?t the management helping their team? Why couldn?t they quickly jump on a til to help reduce the work load? They just stood there talking to other members of stuff. No team work there at all.

The shop itself is an Aladin's cave and, in my humble opinion, much better than Dunelm next door but one. Even though it is on the other side of town for me, it is worth the visit with its large selection of everything for the home, garden and pet. Just make sure you use a toilet elsewhere before you visit because it is this aspect that has forced me to give The Range a mediocre star rating. The toilets were beyond filthy, splashes and dribbles of who-knows-what down the walls, toilet and floor. Another time where I would have opted for a wild wee rather than use these horrid facilities. Facilities? Not even sure they pass for that.
