Went into this store yesterday morning to buy a pair of Lacoste trainers having found the pair we liked which was apparently the last pair in stock at £78. The young man serving us said as the display one display trainers was dirty on the sole, heal and fabric around the top of the inside of the heal was grubby we could get a discount if we purchased them.he then got a senior member of staff to look and decide the discount which would be applied this other male member came and he decided to place his finger in his mouth and use the spit to clean the heal on the outside and along the side which we found totally unacceptable and extremely unhygienic and made it worse and no discount would be applied of course we did not pursue these due to this action and why would we even if a discount had been applied
what a unacceptable way for a member of staff to behave.

Hate this shop, because they sell underwear with open boxex but if you want to exchange unopened box for the right size it's impossible for "hygiene reasons". Not one said a word at the till then I have paid

I popped into the shop to check some trainers, lack of customer service from the store manager. Even sports direct owners wouldn't act snobby and talk from above to customers. Lack of basic customers services from the manager. The rest of the stuff seems friendly. The tattooed manager, isn't competent for her role. I don't usually leave any negative feedback, but I felt I had to this time. She was rude to the customer ahead of me then my self. Customers doesn't feel welcomed, nor smiled to, she creates a hostile environment.

Poor customer service. I bought Game gift card by mistake instead of a Sports Direct gift card. Told by the store manager there is nothing they can do. Not good enough.

Picked up a couple of 10 pack mens socks that were advertised on the packets as £9 for 2 packs. The products ran through the tills at £11.50, which I paid, as the staff had allegedly mispriced the packs. However, I should have paid the advertised price as apparently that is the law which I only found out subsequently.Obviously it is not a lot of money to be overcharged but the principal of being conned applies.

Joke of a shop. "Sports" direct is nothing but the most basic sporting equipment and shelves upon shelves of clothes and shoes. Came to get a couple of basic tennis accessories and they have absolutely nothing. No alternative nearby to buy actual sporting products, and people wonder why everyone turns to Amazon.

The staff are generally friendly and helpful, and there are good prices on some things, particularly footwear. However be aware that they don't give refunds, only exchanges or credit notes, so don't take the thing home to try on if you've the slightest doubt.

I came into the town to buy some new boots for the winter. I couldn't find anything anywhere else and somebody said try Sports Direct. I found a lovely pair of firetrap ones. Well chuffed ?
