A predatory organisation pretending to be Christian.
They charge an extortionate 'service charge' and make endless false promises of moving people on, while the majority of residents are hit with same-day evictions after a certain amount of time.
The only effort they put in is sorting out the housing benefit which lines their own pockets.
Residents are constantly harrassed with staff entering rooms at random times, even contrary to their own license agreement. People with serious issues receive no support and if they complain they will be evicted on the spot, sometimes even prevented from retrieving their belongings. People who fall behind on the extortionate service charge (which is most, as it leaves people unable to afford the basics. If someone has a job the charge is bumped up from £170 to nearly £1500, in a homeless hostel! They also threaten people that if they leave of their own accord they will be registered as voluntarily homeless and barred from getting help from the council.) will have their credit rating destroyed, and the organization refuses to be transparent with ex-residents about any arrears that need to be paid, deliberately making it difficult to later on get into private rented accommodation.
They also try to offer places to people who have only just showed up on the homelessness registry, presenting themselves as heroes swooping in to help (and saying they just select names randomly from the list), when in reality all they want is that over-a-grand-per-inmate government cheque.
The grand total of their 'support' is getting people registered on Gateway to Homechoice.
They know they can get away with it because nobody listens to the homeless.
Predatory organization that breaks its own rules. Current head manager, who I cannot name for legal reasons, SR, is a sociopath who cannot be reasoned with, who takes obvious glee in putting men into impossible situations that almost invariably lead them back to sleeping on the street.
I informed the council of my experiences, and relayed the experiences of dozens of others, including the harrowing nature of Lockdown where residents were forced to defecate in their rooms, doors locked from the outside, but nobody takes the experiences of the homeless seriously.
Avoid at all costs, it's literally better to sleep rough.

The management use to search threw rooms and steal items that belonged to tenants staff was not helpful at all when people tried to get re homed threw other councils the staff would not help which very silly as for ipswich councils were very very slow to help people and complaints were always swept under the carpet and the top management were very very useless

I had to cancel an interview, I had a chest infection months ago that destroyed my lungs, and left me with a shortness of breath, on practising my 30 minute presentation I found that I couldn't do it in one go because of my condition, I'm the right person for the job with almost 40 years experience and over 20 certificates and qualifications, so when I called to explain why I wasn't able to fulfill the interview conditions, I was hoping for some consideration of my condition, especially from the Salvation Army, but no, all I got was well wishes to get better soon, this is not something that is going to get better, nor is it a job that you have to constantly speak for long periods at a time, so it wouldn't effect me doing the actual job, just doing a long presentation. To say I'm a bit disappoint and literally speechless for them not making any allowance for my non visual disability is an understatement, if I could have scored them a zero or minus I would have done.

Despite the fact I didn't qualify. I had a good interview and was treated with respect and humanity.
